geez sjab arent you giving port credit they dont deserve? dont forget they have only had 1 win since round 6 - hardly top of the table form, and wouldn't be beautiful to erase some of the heartache they have given us by terminating their season next sunday 8)

quite simply this is the most important game of the year to date for us given its against the maggies- like i have stated before we have to knock off the teams around us wanting 5th spot, we did it to norwood and south and if we can do it to port we could, depending on south/port this arvo be 2 and a half games clear from 6th position with 3 games left, i cant wait for next week!!

well considering this post was started before PORT had even played this round i thought id wait and go on what I would witness at the South v Port game.

On what I saw over the last 2 days without any shadow of doubt PORT will win and they will win by a very very big margin.

port looked very good today but with limited opposition however their skill level was way superior to glenelgs yesterday, but next week is another game & the bays must start at 2.00pm next week & not 4.00pm like they did yesterday or they will be blown out of the water

I hear you Stampy, but IMO I have not been impressed with the Bays form the past three weeks. Sure we've won and that's a good sign but we've only beaten South & Westies and not convincingly...and found it tough against Norwood.

They need to be on the ball from the bounce not half way through a quarter...If we get back to the way we played against North..then yes we can win...

Dutchy, you aren't insinuating that they were trading while insolvent where you?

Do football club directors have the same responsibilities under ASIC as board members of a listed company?

Only if the footy club is incorporated as a company - ie, ends in "Pty Ltd" or "Ltd"

If it's an Incorporated Association (ie, ends in "Inc") there's an "Incorporated Associations Act" that prescribes penalties for various wrong things done by Officals of the Association - I reckon it would cover insolvent trading but maybe not with the same penalties. Obligations on Officials would not be as onerous as for Company Directors.

Missing 1 week's pay is no-where near insolvent trading - I have heard of a lot, lot worse than that.

Geez, with so much at stake, is it safe to bring my lad along?

Might have to stay in the family friendly area, away from the Louts.

As a former GFC member I'm sure young Johnny Rotten Fatal would be made most welcome
