Well with the AFL 'role models' going around these days perhaps the lads in question thought talent scouts would take notice if they made the news... someone forgot to mention they attend all games in the u18 carnival!
Any thoughts this could be a parting shot at the club involved (was there animosity when the ex-coach moved on)? Or you think those with exceptional talent were exempt from disciplinary action so as not to comprimise chances of winning the comp?
Could you resist the urge to knock back some liquid confidence when surrounded by the talent that would get to these functions TWE?

Yeh fair point... Would think that after seeing the result of game 1 this decision may well be justified from a team perspective (to date anyhow)... Let's just hope & prey it continues & there is no BIG V in the final as they have dominated this comp for far too long.
Interested to know if the new format may have contributed to the VIC's early demise, taken them away from their comfort zone perhaps or just better cattle West of the VIC border this year??

p.s can anyone give me a link to the 25man squad that was selected in the end? I cant find it

Young Silky would be well within his rights to be upset at things there..certainly not the only one involved. Bit unfortunate that certain players have been focussed upon while others get right off...

Were these other lads drinking as well? I understood that was the reason for omission, not their presence at the function.

Can't help you there but this has been made public - Looks like the Club is investigating certain inconsistencies in regards to players from other clubs:

The boys are having a go at him because he would be the first to shoot his mouth off. i.e. Hills Football thread in the early days. Bit of Fun!
Vic Metro beat SA today. not sure of scores or anything but SA apparently hardly touched it in first half of footy.

Somethings certainly not right here because there is no way that at least 2 of the players concerned couldn't have not been picked if the side was 'picked on its merits' as Philips claims.

The matter has been professionally handled as usual by the people in control at Sturt.
Leave the guys alone please and allow them to show the Football Public what talents they have on the Field.
Enough of this matter, please!!!
