I really wish i could be there today to honour the Greatest of them All. What a gentleman Barrie was. Every time i ever spoke with the great man i felt like he really cared what i was saying. As a Junior footballer he was my Coach, we shared the same Gym in my early 20s and then seeing him around occasionally later he was the pro-type for what a great human is. Vale Barrie

My late Grandpa was a staunch Norwood man and his words always ringed true when speaking of Barrie. "You cant say a bad word about him on or off the field". He said "you can be great and humble". Too bad i turned out to be borderline sh@t at footy

I sincerely hope the North playing group realise the enormity of what today represents. Play with the spirit of the great number 10 and we will get the chocolates.. if we can get the job done by 10 points i think i will get emotional.
