On a roll 3 weeks ago, now our entire first ruck is absent (Annand, Liddy and Grant) and we are struggling to get purposeful delivery to the forwards, who aren't helping with little zest for the contest.
Kendall, Thomas and Mihail Lochowiak should all be ins this week, but is it enough to turn things around from an ugly fortnight?

Grant not an OUT yet

Considering Herbert had to go for scans to clear him of a broken neck, I reckon you can plan on Grant missing.

Grant gets 5. What's the recent biggest penalties? Imagine if he'd "pinned" the arms.

Just about the final straw of a horrendous 3 weeks for Dog fans.
Our team was travelling well but 4 of our best 5 players have now been snuffed out.
Liddy
Grant
Annand
Grace (since his mic drop moment he is clearly not in the frame of mind to play to his best).
Admittedly, some due to their own ill discipline, but it doesn't make it any easier to take.
We were a solid 3/4 on team rankings three weeks ago, now our season is in danger of seriously tilting.

Cant help but send your deflation Northerner. Normally all your posts have an optimistic tone to them but the last week that doesn't appear to be the case.

5 matches is way over the top.. wonder if there is any appeal process? From league “FAIREST and most brilliant” to the biggest villain. SANFL trying to act like the AFL again. To think Thomas got 2 games for a deliberate non football act in comparison highlights the hysteria.

Horrible action, and could've been a terrible outcome for the Eagles player
Fairest and most brilliant the year he won it, not this year
5 matches is more than fair, maybe Thomas was lucky but Grant's potential to cause injury (player didnt come back on) was much worse

The action was horrible and the outcome could have been life altering.
Thankfully there is very little precedence with these sorts of tackles, I’m ok with 5 matches - needed to be a strong penalty.

It looked ordinary by WWE standards, and those blokes train for that kind of thing.
The Good Bloke discount rightly thrown out in this case, as it should be.

The way this season is going, bring on 2026.
Will need the team to lift as one to turn this around.
Not sure we have the talent left to do this.

Horrible action yes, but do you think the intent was there to dump the player head first? Tackling in wet, slushy and slippery conditions is a recipe for accidents like this to happen. You blokes are getting brainwashed by the clowns at AFL House.
2 weeks for trying to knock a blokes head off compared to what I believe was an accident caused by poor technique.

I’m brainwashed by watching my Dad suffer after an accident partially severed his spinal cord when I was 10.
Watched him suffer, live in constant pain, ever reduced mobility until he was eventually bed ridden at the end and have very little quality of life from that moment on.
Im glad the clowns at AFL House take spinal injuries seriously.
Wet or dry, intentional or accident, Grant should have a better technique. Deserves a long sit in the stands.
