Who comes in for Liddy?
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Matz or Pearce if going to replace a tall with a tall, but neither have been impressive in the ressies..
Maybe East? And I can see a role for Monaghan in our lineup also.

Be a good test to see if Dogs are a top 3 side; we know Sturt are... although they have lost some of their midfield strength... Crowden, Dakin and Battersby.

Going to be a huge challenge against a fantastic side in Sturt ,
Definitely 1 change with Thomas out and possibly 2 with Liddy looking like he is heading to Port
Liddy will be a huge out hes been our best player

Yep Club expects Liddy will be switching to Port under the mid season draft.
Watching Mani this season, he has stepped up massively and I cannot see a reason he would not play AFL if not this season, then next season.
So all kudos to him...

But as a fan it is a dagger, and (yet again) diminishes the enjoyment of being an sanfl club follower.

As with McLennan, they'd be just trying to prop up their reserves side (and why wouldn't they).

I think Larkins comes back in for Liddy with East in for Thomas
unless we go with height then we probably go with Pearce ,

Monaghan for Liddy would be my choice.
East for Thomas.
Mihail would be the next cab off the rank after another game or two in ressies

Do we get compensated for Port taking Liddy
We paid him to play for us not them.
So we lose out for paying someone who isnt even going to be with us

If Port take Liddy you get a transfer fee ( Maybe 20K ?) . Also as neither Port side will be playing finals, he will be eligible to come back and play for Centrals in the finals.
Centrals also can prevent him from playing in a Dogs V Port game but i doubt that will happen

Oh I don't know about that. I reckon Central has more intestinal fortitude than a certain other club which was happy to roll over so the Clowns could play a midseason draftee.

100% a wasted season. Jezzas sole reason for moving to Ports SANFL side was to give himself the best chance to get back into AFL.
Subsequently his form has dropped significantly from last year, and Liddy gets a gig ahead of him by remaining at the Dogs.
No doubt Jezza would be thinking if his move was ill conceived.
