Huge challenge for us ,Glenelg have a better list than last season .
If we play like we did last week will get smashed .
Never happy to lose but in all honesty if we get within 5 goals it will be big effort

We got plenty of it but lacked efficiency with a new look attack. Tidy that up, win the ball from the middle more times than not (another area for improvement) and you never know! Unlikely maybe, but not out of the question..

At last, the first game of the season. 8)

Both h/a games last year were close ones; 7 points and 1 point. IIRC the away team might have been in front at 3/4 time in both games, only to lose.

That said, I reckon the Bays, and by four or five goals.

Dogs haven't won at the Bay since 2018, well overdue. Glenelg won the next 11 against Central after that 2pt loss, up until a 1pt loss in round 18 last seaon. I expect a tough contest.

Bays by 14pts.

Bays by 40, they will give an early season flex just to show who is the boss

Too many times Tompkinson was trying to mark against a couple of teammates who would bring their opponent to the pack too. I reckon he might be alright if we can sort out the crowding. But a new problem presents in defence with Little out for the year, we lose our best defender ahead of playing the team with the best forwards. If we get within 5 goals with these issues, it's probably an indication we'll be a good side later in the year.

Still a tough assignment for the Dogs to win at Glenelg.

We would need another 5 or 6 out including Hosie to be a chance .
Quite simply Glenelg dont have a weakness anywhere and should be way to good,

Dogs had a crack, but Bays too good in most areas, it's a very miserly defense we have.

65 free kicks for the day ridiculous.

A double celebration for Glenelg 3 flags in a row and Jarryd Lyons winning the Magarey he is a class above SANFL standard .
As for the game we simply werent and arent good enough to match them.
Liddy clearly our best ,Gasper our best forward and Annand battled his guts out .
Would be nice if LANGE contributed on a regular basis instead of when he feels like it.
