All discussions to do with the SANFL

Haven't gotten around to watching the game yet but obviously South were again impotent in attack. After a bright start against the Ravens, just 27 goals have been scored across the last 4 games, all of which were played in weather conditions conductive to kicking a decent score (although 70 points seems a winning score in a lot of SANFL games these days sadly..)

Have used 30 players so far, of which only 10 have registered a goal.

Appears we copped a few injuries, Arundell in particular will be a loss.

I liked the look of Howes and I thought Meggins looked promising, but I didn't realise he was 28.
A couple of weeks ago I was critical of a couple of the broadcasters who seemed to be screaming all the time. I said that they should listen to Matt Hill on SEN.
After yesterday I think that they don't have to stray to the AFL, I wasn't invested in yesterday's game but I thought the coverage with Chris Kendall commentating and special comments by Grant Coffee was outstanding.
That is the level to which I think all SANFL Now commentators should aspire.

Couple of more losses and the board will need to start making some decisions on positions for next season.

We don't look like getting a win at the moment and the strategy to go so young is a massive mistake by those who made it.

Might see Rory Sloane & Brent Reilly reunited at Noarlunga from next season

CK does most Noarlunga games, certainly one of the better and more consistent callers.

Howes does a few nice things each week, still a teenager I believe.

Agree 100% ..... looking like we will win donuts by the end of the year.

The 70 % local talent strategy is an utter disaster IMO.

Not great having junior talent in the league with no real leadership and getting beaten (by some big margins) week in week out......
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!

Be a much better result if Sloane replaced Reilly

Doesn't help that the majority of the remaining 30% are mercenaries who cut and run at the next best offer

There were at least 9 imports in the South side versus Glenelg, plus 2 on the injured list who would play A grade ( not counting Arlo Draper as he is a local)
Other imports were in the seconds
The imports who played league are all good players in my opinion
South also had 6 experienced locals, also good players
This leaves a large number of young blokes playing weekly, and in my opinion for the strategy to survive retention of the young locals will be the key and getting them to be age 23 (currently 20), along with making sure the imports are genuine A graders and genuine about the club
These are just my thoughts, and hopefully reflect the strategy of the Board

This is the important bit, need to recruit less players like Sproule...
