Should be a cracker. The perfect progression for the dogs before they take on the big guns.

Are they a top 3 side?

Any injuries to either sides?

Central to not only win, but finish the round in top spot.

Forget Port vs Norwood. Forget ANZAC Day - Glenelg vs whoever they beat in the GF (does anyone even remember)?

Elizabeth Oval on Saturday afternoon is where it’s at.

The Eagles are back after a 2 year hiatus. The Dogs are back, after 13 years in the wilderness.

The biggest clash between the 2 sides since the 2011 Grand Final. What a day that was.

Top spot on the line.

This is a return to the glory days of 2000’s SANFL football; pokies money, mini-drafts and the best bit - the emergence of online footy forums. What a time it was to be alive.

Eagles by 14 points, I reakon.

Now all we need is two less steams (guess) and no mid-year draft

Absolute blockbuster. Finally, one of them will beat a side not in the bottom 4.

I hope the Hybrids have a street directory handy.

I reckon that a fair chunk of opposition fans, that would know what one of those is, have probably watched enough losing games here over the years to remember where to find us by now. ;)

This is will be a very hard game both teams winning . I hope the eagles play the running attacking game for 4 quarters this week . Jacobs certainly has changed the team even if just its attitude on the ground .

Fascinating stat that I’ve worked out this morning doing my preparation for the call on SANFL Now.

Since WWT inception in 1990, there has been 20 of the past 34 Grand Finals played that feature at least one of these two clubs.

There has also been 14 x Premierships won (CD - 9 & EAG - 5) between them and 6 of these GF’s played featured both clubs.

So in the last 34 years, there has been 58.8% of Grand Finals that have featured one or both of the Dogs and Eagles.

The merger happened following the 1990 season.

So it would be 20 of the past 33 Grand Finals.

Good pick up, thanks for that mate.

So that makes it 60.6% now !!
