Yes. Norwood, Sturt, South and Port all have more flags than Glenelg and Adelaide but North have more than South and are rightly in the big four.

Matty Longbottom to debut for North………jet
Ecstatic for the most committed footballer in the state. The bloke lives and breathes the game and prepares immaculately. Very well deserved.

There will be plenty of interested people tuning in from the Tiwis
Was working there a few years back and showed the families of the late great D Kantilla footage of him (from u tube or archives or something like that)
First time most of the families had seen him playing for South (although couldnt find a great deal of footage)
Much excitement and pride
I have no doubt there will be a fair few keeping tabs on this game up North

And one of the real big 4, Port, Norwood, North and Sturt played in every Grand Final from 1900 to 1999 inclusive.
Actually when I was a young person the big 4 was considered to be Port, Norwood, North and West, one of which won every premiership from 1945 until 1964 other than 1953 and then 1964. They were referred to as the Big 4 at least as often as Port, Norwood, Sturt and Glenelg were in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
SInce 2000 we really have had a big 2, with Central and Eagles, or if you want a big 4 for the last 20 years it would be those 2 clubs plus Norwood and Sturt.

Knew I'd get one but not the other...
