Advertiser Team of the Year

Postby Adelaide Hawk » Fri Oct 06, 2006 3:49 pm

Here's the 2006 team:

Coach: Premiership Coach
F: Chad O'Sullivan (CD), Mark Passador (E), Brant Chambers (St)
HF: Tim Inkster (E), Nick Gill (NA), Heath Younie (NA)
C: Leigh Ryswyk (NA), James Gowans (CD), Rhys Archard (SA)
HB: Luke Ivens (NA), Mark McKenzie (E), Nick Jackman (N)
B: Mark Clayton (PA), Corey AhChee (PA), Brett Zorzi (N)
Ruck: Paul Lindsay (E), Justin Cicolella (E), Jeremy Clayton (PA)
Int: Craig Parry (SA), Matthew Slade (CD), Brett Backwell (G), Dean Howard (NA)

Would have been a little embarrassing if they hadn't squeezed Brett Backwell in on the bench

Good team none-the-less.

Why have 4 players on the bench? :? They did this last year as well (for the first time).

We are not the AFL!!!

Looks like a fair team though - at first glance the players who seem most unlucky to miss are Ben Haynes and Justin McConnell.

Good on Brett Zorzi for getting the recognition he deserves.

Bryce Campbell a bit unlucky IMHO but hard to see who he'd replace. Maybe Ryswyck? :D

Yeah, the 2 Norwood guys who should have been selected are in the team. Our midfielders Borlace, James, Gallagher, Campbell had good years but there were better performers than them over the full season.

As for 4 Interchange, they selected 4 interchange in 1992, 1994, 2001 and 2005, as well as this year.

I think Mouse's main squeeze should have been named as well.

For anyone who rated her after seeing her picture in the paper, multiply that by 50 when you see her in the flesh.
