Yep. 1310. FFS

West were off the pace against North and WWT lost in a close one to South,

Congratulations to Patrick Giuffreda who will play his 200th senior game and I believe close to 300 for the club. Have to love one club players.

Which West will turn up?

Eagles by 4 goals.

Congrats to Giuffreda. Has been rock solid in our backlines for ages and one of these players whose form hasn't dipped at all the older he has got.

We always are a better side when he is playing.

I would hope the Eags come out firing this weekend and get it done for him to show what he means to the Club.

Woodville-West Torrens premiership defender Patrick Giuffreda was destined to join SANFL’s 200 Club.

As Giuffreda prepares to play his 200th Statewide Super League game against West on Saturday, it is his single-minded dedication to his beloved Eagles which defines his character.

The 33-year-old is in fact closing in on his 300th game for the club since starting in the Under-17s in 2004, before making his League debut in Round 13 of 2007.

And there is no better example of the dual premiership backman’s commitment to his club than the Monday night after Round 6.

After supporting his partner Melanie in giving birth to their third child, Freya, Giuffreda turned up at a recovery session just hours later, much to the surprise of coach Jade Sheedy.

But it was no surprise when Giuffreda nominated last year’s 2020 League premiership as being extra special to him, given how much he heartache had been through since winning a medallion in 2011.

The Eagles are clearly like a family to the Woodville South product, who aims to continue taking his career ”one year at a time” now that he’s closing in on his 34th birthday.

Surely Josh Koster gets a recall for Westies to provide some outside run and forward pressure.

Named best player last weekend for Sacred Heart, so that means he has left Club as they were not giving permits for one off games.

Has form spitting the dummy as that's why he left Bays.

Patrick Giuffreda, the epitome of a great club man. A sensational person. Very approachable, always has time for a decent chat. Not overly conspicuous on the football field but would never let the team down, just consistent, solid and reliable, he would lead the 90% of players the coach would spend minimal time on and worrying about. Let's hope the team gives him a two hundredth to remember.

Like all I wish Patrick Giuffreda the best, a great achievement and he has made the best of what he was given. Quite a few people I've chatted to know him and say he's a great bloke too. 200 SANFL games these days is a great effort. =D>

I'm liking the look of the Eagles side. It is as close to full strength as we have had all season.

I would assume there is still a cloud hanging around Macfarlane and Much if they are named on the bench so might be down to a final fitness test in the day prior.

As an outsider, and I mean this with no disrespect to Patrick, he’s always come across as that “Glue” type of player. Starlets from the juniors and quality recruits will come and go, but those that serve for many years without getting the plaudits (or AFL recruiters) fawning over them are usually the backbone of successful clubs and that’s exactly how I’ve always viewed him. Very good at his role and honest as the day is long, much respect.

I am scared we may have a few missing next match with leather poisoning. Toumpas 45 possessions.
