Has this ever been a top of the table clash, AKA 1st v 2nd?

Yes, Rounds 5 and 14 in 1981. 15 out of the 19 rounds in history where 1 and 2 were occupied by said teams were in this year.

Edit: the 19 occasions prior to this year, that is.

Don't think this warrants another thread, so I'll ask it here:

Norwood held on to defeat South several weeks back without scoring a goal in the second half.
I imagine it's happened before (considering all clubs), but when and how many times?

That's something I didn't notice. It's actually just the third occasion post WW1, the other two being the premiership decider in 1921, and Rd 19 1968:

Port 3.1 4.3 4.6 4.8 (32)
Norwood 0.4 1.5 2.6 3.6 (24)
Adelaide, 34800

West 5.1 8.2 8.5 8.5 (53)
Glenelg 3.2 4.3 7.4 7.5 (47)
Glenelg, 12462

Quite incredible that it should happen twice in 100 years and then twice in a few weeks.
