Possibly may set a crowd record here for this fixture. But their league side plays later ( it's like a reserve fixture) and they can't be in two places at once.

Crows look set to regain Talia, Hately, Kelly and Brown this week which will mean either they play here or there or a combination of the two. Possibly. Not sure but they might.

South possibly have everyone available and we look certain to start the year with yet another new ruckman (Freitag) who has been impressive.

South by a point.

Crows will be a strong team first-up backed by an AFL pre-season and playing on a 32 degree day all favour the Crows reserves side, the Panthers will struggle in ruck but playing a home will help. South trial form been patchy i can see the Crows ressies winning this one, of course i want to wrong, so wrong!

Masterpiece in fixturing this one...with the Crows playing later in the day...
There will double the number of Crows support staff than Crows supporters.
The early time slot wont help either .
looking forward to seeing Frietag from KI goes, form has been excellent ,has been around a couple of years but riddled with injury, first league game- if selected...? Skinner certainly looks a player and Tarca is a class act.
A 32c day...will certainly effect the players in the last quarter, but Im tipping it wont matter..Panthers pretty easily.

I am the pessimistic South supporter (learnt over the years!) ...... but think we can win this one by 5-6 goals.

For the sake of argument, this was my best 22 3 weeks ago (without seeing Skinner). Went on reputation.

Fitt Overall Wilkinson
Tarca Skinner Cross
Heaslip Schwarz Sampson
Broadbent Haren Rose
Summerton Cailotto Haines

Freitag Horne Gibbs

Bogle Milsom O'Neil Turner

Kappler Roberts McGree Brown Nobes Loneragen Elsworthy McKinnon

My one change to that is Brown in for O'Neil.

Time will tell.

Strange, very strange, another way to pay him outside the soft cap that has been slashed as well as saving them a top-up match payment?
