NORWOOD

Norwood coach Jarrod Cotton is poised to inject more talented youth into his line-up to face Central at The Parade.

After Henry Nelligan made his Statewide Super League debut in Round 3, the Redlegs could have as many as five AAMI Rookies tackle the Bulldogs.

Payneham pair Isaac Saywell and Jed Spence, Ceduna product Jacob Collins, Walkerville’s Jack Heard and key defender Tyler Martin have all been named on the extended interchange bench.

CENTRAL

Central District has been significantly strengthened by the return of three star players for the match against Norwood at The Parade.

2019 Norm Russell Medallist Jarrod Schiller and West End State forward Justin Hoskin have overcome their one-week injuries while ball magnet Travis Schiller will play his first League game of the year after spending the past fortnight in the Reserves.

The younger Schiller sibling has been gaining valuable match fitness after undergoing surgery on his foot earlier in the year.

They have been joined in the Bulldogs’ 24-man squad by key position pair Fraser Fort and Murray Stephenson, as well as AAMI Rookie Brody Thompson, who is a mature-aged ruckman from Berri FC in the Riverland.

Former Redleg Ryan Llewellyn has been deemed unfit with a knee injury suffered in the Round 3 loss to South Adelaide.

We have had a fair few injuries but still making lots of unforced changes each week.

Cant help but think Andrews is almost using this year as an opportunity to play as many blokes as possible and identify the ones he wants to keep around for next year.

Dont mind that approach if it is correct.

Agree with that logic ,however it would be nice to settle down the side.On tomorrows game Norwood arent going that well but they are far to good to stay where they are unless we show real improvement particularly skill level we will get beaten easily again .

Yeah to be honest i struggle to see us getting a win. We genuinely look like boys against men. We are undersized in nearly every position on the park.

The young ruckmen debuting tomorrow is on 194cm so i hope he can leap. AFL i know but his the same height as Fyfe and Tex Walker.

Andrews is probably not only looking at skill and ability but intestinal fortitude.

0-3 would suggest otherwise?

If Norwood lose it’s season over.
There’s no coming back from 0-4 in a 14 round season.

Nup, ordinary time for an injury list as long as ours too. No excuses though, there's enough ability there "on paper". We're good enough or we're not, simples.

The reserves looks like a case of men against boys deep into the last quarter...if we attack the
ball and player like these guys we are good chance today I think, particularly with the ins. Will be interesting to see how Thompson goes against Baulderstone- will be lacking in height and strength clearly but from what I’ve seen he is quite athletic and decent with the ball on the deck .
Time will tell - watching on the digital pass today...make it Maney pleaseeee!

3 late goals give Norwood a 16 point lead at quarter time. 4.4 to 2.0
