Well for the SANFL blokes a 4-5 week suspension is worth it for a flag. The AFL blokes have a career to think about. Which Glenelg player will do a Steven Sims? :)

Fair chunk of that Glenelg side will also be playing for their AFL careers

Really?
Would have thought 3-4 at tops will be drafted

If that, but how many have AFL aspirations and will or have nominate/d for the draft?

Apart from Partington & Gould, who else?

We have had scouts check out Reynolds

Port Adelaide FC chairman David Koch says it will be “bittersweet” to line up against “good Port boys” Luke Partington and Luke Reynolds when the club takes on Glenelg in the SANFL grand final.
Kochie told FIVEaa Breakfast on Monday:

“How good is it going to be! It is one of the great clashes. Both clubs haven’t won a flag for over 20 years so it will be really historic for both.

“Glenelg has seven AFL players on their squad, which is handy. For us it’s a bit bittersweet having Partington and Reynolds play for the Bays -- good Port boys -- but under the SANFL rules we couldn’t fit them into ours.

“We wish them all the best and have a great game as well.”

No David, Glenelg have zero AFL players in their squad, because they are an SANFL team.

As far as I'm concerned Glenelg are now SANFL premiers regardless of whether the AFL reserves team wins this match.

If he said "7 players with AFL experience" would your lacy smalls still be all twisted up?

Well that would be a completely different comment then wouldn't it!!

Some sort of logic that sees me talking about playing 12 super rugby games this year, not bad for 5ft 3 bloke.

Possibly, but we'll never know as thats not what he said.

I hope Kochy also thinks its bitter sweet when good old Sturt boys like Lienert and Trengove play for Port against Sturt?

But I'm sure he'll feel for a good old Bays boy in Tobin Cox playing against his old team this week.

Agreed

And i think you and I both know that he sounds a bit like a condescending twat when he tries to paint the story that the Port Maggies are hard done by. ;)

On this occasion it suits Port to say over 20 years .

Has a bruised heel after it was stepped on yesterday.
Stone didn’t seem to worried about it on the radio tonight.
