Interesting one . West had Glenelg last week for 3 quarters and the Panthers look good. South at home.

Expecting (hoping) for a better performance. Westies form is a bit hard to read.
South by a point.

Must win for South.
the 2 losses to West last year cost us the double chance.
South need to be better at the stoppages and as a team take care of whoever will be molesting Cross this week.

With the brilliant SANFL scheduling, West have an extra 4 days of recovery over South having played on Wednesday night (ANZAC Eve) vs South playing on Sunday.
Given West's performances in 4th quarters this year, we need every help we can get!!!

Did that mean West only 4 days break the week before ? Maybe West requested that Anaz eve game ?

West played Good Friday (as did Glenelg) hence although it was a short 5 day break, at least it was equal for both teams unlike South who are shortchanged compared to West

Struggled against the Bloods in the past 3 outings. Need a response after some patchy form in recent weeks.

Former Northern Territory goalsneak Kyle Emery has been recalled to the line up after kicking seven of the Panthers’ 11 goals in the Reserves last round.

WEST
West Adelaide has lost some pace for its contest against South on Saturday.
Speedy wingman Murray Waite (hamstring) and elusive forward Gibson Turner (knee) will both miss up to a fortnight with injury.
Thier absence has been offset by the recall of Ken Karpany and Nathan Batley while Lachlan Evans and Hugh Haysman have also been added to the 23-man squad.
Karpany and Batley have been named in the starting 18 while the latter pair must survive the cut on the five-man extended interchange bench.

Good tough win by the Panthers, nice to get a win after 3 deflating weeks. Abe Davis was excellent and Joe Haines played very well too. A step in the right direction for the club.

A game of two halves. Snelling, Stevens and Noble very good for West.
Haines, Brown and Davis very good for South.
Both sides had injuries. Irra and Harren possibly long term. Don't say it.
Schmidt looked in big trouble for West.
Umpiring good. Crowd maybe 1300 ish.
You can piss off 110 starts whenever you are ready.

Another last quarter fade out by West. Given South was down to 1 man on the bench and West had an extra 4 days rest, I can’t think of any other reason but poor conditioning.
Haven’t won a final quarter this season (incl win against Eagles) and have only scored 9 goals and had 27 kicked against in 6 games!

Quite an entertaining game. Slow start but finished well. Davis had a huge day, while the big fella Knoll played his best game for the club. Karpany and Haines also handy.
Good to see some 100+ scores kicked this round. A rarity.

Not sure 1.10 starts would impact a West and South game though.
It does to me which is my point. . Makes no difference who is playing or where. Play the day games at 1410.
If it was 2.10 there wouldn't be any more people attend is my point. Maybe South wanted an earlier game for some reason.

The 1:10 starts are usually due to the women's game being on after. (when not a C7 game)
Agree that 2:10 is a preferable start time.
