South Australia’s new home of sport 1629 SEN SA today announced it will exclusively broadcast the SANFL Statewide Super League – kicking off this Sunday with Woodville-West Torrens taking on 2018 Premiers, North Adelaide.

In the new partnership, 1629 SEN SA will broadcast a match of the round each week across the season, as well as every SANFL finals game. Spearheading the game-day commentary team is experienced sports journalist and commentator, John Casey, who has a media career spanning three decades.

Pacific Star Network Managing Director and Crocmedia’s Chief Executive Officer, Craig Hutchison, expressed his delight at being able to connect more fans to State League football in South Australia.

“The SANFL features some of Australia’s best emerging footballing talent and is one of the country’s top pathways into the AFL system, producing the likes of current stars Bryce Gibbs and Paul Puopolo,” Hutchison stated.

“South Australia is a passionate football state, steeped in tradition and we are very excited to showcase SANFL talent to a wider network of engaged fans via 1629 SEN SA,” Hutchison ended.

SANFL CEO Jake Parkinson said the League was thrilled to have the support of 1629 SEN SA.

“The 1629 SEN SA radio broadcast provides another opportunity for SANFL fans to be engaged with our State League competition, with a match of the round to be broadcast throughout the season,” Mr Parkinson said.

Fans can listen live on 1629 SEN SA or anytime, anywhere on the SEN APP.

Dating back to the late 19th Century and steeped in tradition, the SANFL is proudly the oldest surviving footballing league of any code in Australia.

Pity my radio only goes up to 1600 and I cannot access SEN radio on it. At least I could use the App!
