Woodville-West Torrens coach Michael Godden faces a dilemma with his rucks for the match against South on Saturday.

WWT 4.2
SA 8.4

Entertaining contest. Some great long goals kicked from South that term, who kicked 4.1 to zip.

How did South overcome that huge psychological advantage the Eagles had?

Which team did worse, Woodville or Torrens?

Eagles going in their usual season trajectory. Have they got any hope against Sturt or Norwood in September or just making up the numbers? If they fail again it's surely time for a new coach. I don't see any players besides Poole who have the intestinal fortitude to win games when it matters.

Too bad the Eagles insist on playing handball instead of football.

Confidence booster heading into finals. Wins v WWT have been rare, especially at Woodville. Entertaining game overall.

Doubt we'll have Kreuger's services next season. Looks a player. Stood up when the game was on the line.

Strong performances from the likes of Liddle, Cross, Brooksby, Davis in the middle, while Rose and Haines were busy along half back.

Sam Overall kicked 3 in the magoos, so should be pushing for selection next week.

WWT appear to lack a bit of dash, as has been exposed in the finals in recent seasons.

No side in the SANFL has ever lost before with 34 free kicks according to the CD people at the ground.

Not getting excited over the prospects of ultimate success after that performance yesterday. Handballing for the sake of handballing ain't gonna do it

A very good win by the Panthers. I thought our defensive pressure particularly in the first half forced the eagles into overuse and turnovers. Our ball use at times going forward was however poor and gave our forwards limited chances. Krueger continues to impress and will be on an AFL list next year imo. Liddle was belted from pillar to post again but was still the best player on the ground.
A word on the umpiring. Appalling- the game was over-umpired with far too many frees paid, just let them get on with it. 34 frees to the eagles and 20 to South......

A good win but a bigger task this week, Go panthers.

Poorest home season by the Eagles for a while losing 4 games and North, Sturt and South breaking very poor records there this year.
