Whittlesea-no relation to Greg.

Kappler-son of David Kappler

South by 2 to 3 goals.

Good to see Matty Rose back too.

Kappler one of four father/son players. A record for us I think,

Don't the Eagles have a Whittlesea playing for them who is a nephew of the Magarey Medal winning Whittlesea?

Skins would've gone down with hypothermia at Noarlunga, it was cold enough at the Ponderosa yesterday. Luckily I was wearing my insulated sports thongs.

Didn’t think it was at all cold down there today. Scrappy game from both teams but very happy to get the win, good across the board effort. Another win and we should secure the double chance.

South wasteful, and with that goes any real chance of a top 3 finish.

WWT and NWD will be further tests of where we sit in the pecking order. 4th/5th feels about right.

I can see it coming, Glenelg will beat Adelaide this w/end by plenty, our percentage then wiped, we lose to both Eagles and Norwood which would appear likely and presto, just like in 2015 and 2017 we fall out of the 5 in last round of the year after being in the top 5 most of the season. I hate football.

MAte you're in

we have to belt both Adelaide (likely) and Sturt (unlikely that we'll even beat them) and you ahve to get belted by both Norwood and Eagles.

We require a 400 pt turnaround (you're +300 and we're -100) percentage wise

You're playing finals we're not.

Relax

am Bays, you're (obviously) not a South Adelaide follower, we've been weeping since 1965, if the unlikely and ridiculous can happen in footy it will happen to South. "Relaxing" is not a word associated to Panther supporters but thanks for your words of encouragement....albeit fruitless.

Agree Darls,

If South were thrown into a barrell full of boobs, we'd come out sucking our thumbs..
I'm afraid we were very wastefull with the ball v Sturt, and we had enough of the ball to win but squandered our opportunities. lack of experience and poise under pressure killed us.
We will make the 5 unless we completely capitulate against the Eggs and Norwood. On our day I think we can mix it with anyone bar of course Norwood who seem to be playing to a different set of rules to the rest of us.

Agreed, absolutely no way South will miss out.

IMHO the only interest, if you can even call it that, left in the bottom half of the table is who will finish the worst of the SANFL clubs proper.

South should be OK.

Have had one loss over 21 points this season (R2 @ NWD). That was also the only time a team has kicked 85+ points against us.

Can understand the general caution from supporters though.

I think we might both know the answer to that Straydog.
