If I am reading it correctly the Magpies have 19 AFL listed players. Probably the strongest side they have had this year.

Eags will have a battle on their hands in this one with Power Res side its strongest side for the year. About time the Eags played a good one after a bye.
Sinor and Petrenko back in 2's and need to get match fitness ASAP. Lose this one and a top 3 spot in danger with NA next week.

Eagles by 5+ goals, AFL listed or not are they as good as players or team as the Eagles? Not at this stage, happy to be proven wrong.

How has S Summerton been going this year? In past seasons he has always been mentioned in the leading players. Seems quiet this year.

Has been consistent but others like Amon, Barry, Toumpas, Trengove even Neade are getting a fair bit of the ball so probably not standing out as in previous seasons.

At half time it was men v boys, pros v amateurs, clean skills v fumbles and indecision, intensity v lack of effort, all areas in favour of Port. I don't know what happened at half time but the story was completely reversed and Port were the ones who were insipid being outscored 8 goals to 2. An excellent recovery by the Eags who showed a team game and style of play not seen since the Sturt win at Unley. Poole, Boyd best at the club.

No complaints there, except that the Port players were playing like men in the first half and the Eagles were like boys!
