Horrendous conditions at Oval Ave today. Rain horizontal and bloody freezing! 2 umbrellas consigned to the bin! Poor old West had no chance in the last quarter with conditions that bad going into the wind and the Eagles locking it in their forward half. Nick Hayes best for the Eags with 5 straight goals. Stevens very good for West.
Porter Gaffs were beautiful after the game.

it was a terrible day out there today. That wind was powerful. Colville would be tearing his hair out at least a couple of passes the westies defender tried changing the play to the wrong side and straight into the arms of an Eagles player 25m from goal. Otherwise Westies were very impressive. They defended well last 1/4 when they could have been in for a hiding against that wind.
