STURT

Sturt has regained a star midfielder for its must-win clash against Central on Sunday.

Former Crow Aidan Riley has been named on the extended interchange bench in the Double Blues’ 23-man squad.

Riley was a late withdrawal for the Qualifying Final with a neck injury but has trained well enough to be included to face the Bulldogs.

He has been joined by big man Henry Voigt, who is also one of the five players on the extended interchange.

Voigt’s presence provides coach Marty Mattner with an extra tall option should he wish to tackle the Central ruck tandem of Darcy Fort and Jack Hannath.

Running defender Guy Page will play his 100th Macca’s League game after lining up in 99 in succession since his debut in Round 1 2013.

CENTRAL

Central District could spring a selection shock for its clash with Sturt on Sunday.

Nuriootpa teenager Cooper Dahms – aged just 18 – is one of three players called into the 23-man squad to potentially replace Kyle Presbury.

Presbury accepted a one-match ban from the SANFL Incident Review Panel for a dangerous tackle in the Elimination Final.

Key forward Connor McLean and goalsneak Josh Richardson have also been named on the five-man extended interchange bench.

EAGLES

Woodville-West Torrens has welcomed back veteran Paul Stewart for its clash with Port on Sunday.

Sidelined by a broken thumb, the former Power defender is one of three inclusions to the Eagles’ 23-man squad.

Stewart has been joined by ruckman Marc Borholm and utility Ethan Haylock, with all three players named on the extended interchange.

Defender Joe Heinjus is the unlucky omission at this stage, with two more to be trimmed from the squad before the bounce.

C: Hall, Lewis, Boyd

HB: Allmond, Thompson, Comitogianni

PORT

Port Adelaide is set to make two forced changes for its contest against the Eagles on Sunday.

Speedy Jarman Impey has been recalled to the Power’s line-up to face West Coast in the AFL Elimination Final on Saturday night.

He has been replaced by Aidyn Johnson, who has been named in attack while Nathan Krakouer returns from a one-match ban from the SANFL Incident Review Panel.

Krakouer will play a similar role to forward Angus Monfries, who has succumbed to a calf injury which is likely to sideline him for one match.

Power rookies Emmanuel Irra and Cameron Hewett have been added to the extended interchange bench.

If Port Adelaide is knocked out of the AFL finals by losing to West Coast, three players – Jackson Trengove, Aaron Young and Matthew Broadbent – will need to be replaced as they have not qualified for SANFL finals.

No matter the result Saturday night the reserves will lose Sunday. If Power win they will want the ressies to be playing next weekend. If the Power loses they will want the season over at the earliest possible time

Eagles have lost the past 2 GF's on the back of winning the second semi. Maybe if they lose the second semi, it will bring a change of luck!!!!!!
