CENTRAL
Central District coach Roy Laird could take an unchanged line-up into Saturday’s crucial clash with Adelaide at My Money House Oval.
Key utility Tom Collier and crafty forward Isaya McKenzie have been added to the 23-man squad which accounted for Norwood in Round 12.
Both players fronted in the Bulldogs’ Reserves last weekend, with Collier having 15 disposals and eight marks while McKenzie collected 22 disposals, five tackles and five clearances.
They have been listed on the five-man extended interchange bench, with two players to be trimmed by Laird before the bounce.

League

HF: Holman, J. Schiller, Presbury
C: Hoskin, Jansen, Dew
HB: Barmby, Broadwood, Haydon

R: D. Fort, T. Schiller, Furnell

ADELAIDE
Adelaide will be without star midfielder Brad Crouch for Saturday’s contest against Central at My Money House Oval.
After stringing together two strong performances in the SANFL, Crouch was called up to play for Adelaide’s AFL side against North Melbourne at Adelaide Oval on Thursday night.
He has been replaced in the 23-man squad by former Crows captain Nathan van Berlo, who has overcome a foot problem and livewire forward Wayne Milera.
Development players Trent Heffernan and Dylan Ribbons have been added to the five-man extended interchange bench with Matthew Leigh omitted.

League
F: Beech, Lowden, Milera

Apparently a 3000 + crowd. I wasn't there but its been a while since we have had a crowd that size.

Central copied the Eagles strategy of hosting a kids lighting carnival as the curtain raiser. This one was for all the schools footy teams in their zone. Good to see it produced results.

I would've thought the $10 food voucher for elizabeth shopping centre for all who attended plus if crowd over 2,450 the $2k giveaway pushed the numbers up.
Well played CDFC marketing dept.

Agreed, even before this game Central lead the league with home crowd growth this year. Eagles currently a distant 2nd.

Everything helps and if you want a really big crowd you need a multitude of things happening.

When we (Eagles) got 4670 for a Crows game last year, the MWJFL Carnival was the foundation bringing in about 1700 but other specific promotions also brought in about 800-900 which when added to the normal 2000 that attend, gave us a great figure.

I am sure the Bulldogs worked to a similar plan and with the new scanning able to give regular updates through the day they should have a good idea who came for what.

Must have been about 120-150 with crows colours on. A lot of neutrals which I imagine was following on from the school games. Probably 2000 more than our last home game against them.
