PORT
The revolving door at selection continues for Port Adelaide this season with several changes again forced upon coach Chad Cornes ahead of Saturday’s match against Glenelg at Alberton.
Five players – Brendon Ah Chee, Logan Austin, Alipate Carlile, Sam Gray and Dougal Howard – have all been called up for AFL duty.
As a result, six SANFL-contracted players plus ruckman Billy Frampton have been included as replacements in the Magpies’ 23-man squad.
Full back Sid Masters returns after playing for the successful SA U20 side against the McDonald’s SA U18 team at Adelaide Oval last Sunday.
He has been joined by Sean Davidson, Zac Hawkins, Keiran Agius, Tom Corcoran and Jack Cooper to face the Tigers.

Well that was a roler coaster ride! Very good first quarter by Glenelg opening up a 4 goal lead. Absolutely smashed in all aspects of the game in the second, with Port taking an 11 point lead in to half time. Port then kicked the first 2 of the 3rd quarter, and me of little faith turned to the people I was with and said this will get ugly. At that point, Glenelg got on top; work rate and desperation kicked in again as well as the run from the first quarter.

Overall a really good attacking game of Football, and very pumped to sing the song at Alberton; something that doesn't happen often. Bring on a big home game against North.

Entertaining game by the looks of it, well done to the Bays.

What is K. Cornes' role at the club? Was flicking around the radio and noticed he was commentating a game in Geelong this arvo. Thought he was an assistant?

just a casual mentoring role I believe, that he does when he isn't busy with his work or media commitments

What was the split? I imagine mostly Glenelg supporters? Recently the Port match threads have a distinct "no Port supporters again" theme.
If Glenelg start getting up and about I look forward to their crowd numbers.

Probably just Ports side of 50/50.

For real?
I guess the Power are in Melbourne this week. But I remember South supporters commenting that they outnumbered Port fans last time they played.
Did a few turn up to see the old enemy perhaps?

Milera and Rioli gave us a bath around the contest in the Bays F50 as well as marking and goaling. A potent duo when the Bays move it forward.

Isn't it amazing what happens when you move the ball quickly forward? Who would have thought that your forwards have a better chance of having an impact if the ball comes in quick and direct?

Simple game really....

My knock on them has always been they don't work hard enough when they don't win the ball, poor tackling, don't chase hard enough, don't pressure etc
Rioli has taken the next step & his form reflects that
Hopefully Milera follows suit
