NORTH
North Adelaide coach Josh Carr faces a selection dilemma ahead of his side’s contest against Sturt at Prospect Oval on Sunday.
Carr could take in the same 21 which defeated West Adelaide in Round 8 or include experienced veteran George Thring against his old side, the Double Blues.
Thring, who played his first Reserves match after returning from injury last round, gained valuable touch by racking up 29 disposals, 11 marks and a goal against the Bloods.
He has been named on the extended interchange bench along with key utility Sam Wundke, who collected 21 touches in the same Reserves contest.
Wundke – who measures in at 192cm and 88kg – provides Carr with great flexibility if required.

STURT
Sturt has refused to risk goalsneak Ben Hansen for Sunday’s contest against North Adelaide at Prospect Oval.
Battling soreness in his foot, Hansen will rest against the Roosters which will ensure he has close to three weeks on the sidelines before the Double Blues’ next match on June 4.
Consistent defender Pat Wilson returns to the line-up while former Port Magpie Brad Coulson could make his IGA League debut.
Recruited to Unley during last summer, Coulson (19, 183cm and 78kg) is originally from Roopena in the Whyalla Football League.
Fringe midfielder Christian Calabrese – who played 46 League matches for the club since 2012 - has decided to retire from SANFL ranks to concentrate on his career as an investment banker.

Big test for North this one,.
But they have been getting better so maybe they are up to the challenge.
I'll go North by 15-20 points

What AFL club was he at? I thought he'd do ok in the AFL, surprised he's back.

Match of the round. Sturt will be a tough contract for the Roosters, but they've got the cattle to pull off* a win. Again, North will need to address the fade-outs if they're going to be a chance. Hopefully there's a decent crowd.

Richmond, pick 42 in the 2012 national draft. Played 10 games.

I find it ironic that at the start of the season the bookies had these two teams equal favourites for the wooden spoon and Norwood and West popular picks for the flag. I know there is a long way to go but who would have thought that Norwood vs West would be 9th vs 10th and North vs Sturt game of the round. It shows how quickly things can change in the SANFL these days.

North are very capable of winning this one.
Looking at their past three games they've won two, with a narrow loss to the almost invulnerable ravens.
Sturt on the other hand look as though they are travelling okay, but our big test last week was played on the bed possible conditions for the Blues; after the bye, South had injuries and is was on our home deck. For Sturt to take the next step it'll mean beating quality opposition like the Roosters at Prospect. I expect there'll be a lot of home support for the Cocks up there, I expect it to be a completely different challenge to playing at Peter Motley.
Should be an absolute ripper. COME ON BLUES!!!

"Quality opposition like the Roosters". Bugger me, I didn't think I'd see that statement this time last year.
I can't see North or Sturt wanting to play this one on a bed. :D ;)

Didn't think we would see the Roosters described as quality opposition all year to be honest. I'm more concerned about a group of young men wanting to tackle another group of young men, on a bed though...

Roosters paying $3.30 at head to head... Very tasty!

This should be a very tight affair, no less because of the impending inclement weather.

Chooks to get over the line in a narrow one, but I'm not 100% confident against a form side. I'm more confident of some stouts at the RSL, though. ;)

Pity the bad weather will decimate the crowds today, should be playing every Saturday.
Could be record low crowds.

Or $3:30 at Red Rooster would get you something tasty also.
