138th season of our two clubs meeting (the oldest game in the league) and the first time in quite a while that we will be favourites. Hoping to see as many to turn out as possible. For the South supporters, Brad Crabb plays his 150th league game in his 10th season of league football. Playing the best footy of his career and being unbiased can confidently say that the state full back and captain deserves to have all our support.
Former South captain Ben Warren will be hoping to turn around his teams latest performance and given their record against us will have some confidence in doing so.
Will we be unchanged again? Hope so. Will Norwood get a couple back from injury? Hope not.
For me, winning form is good form, South by a Point.
PS The past players and the Panther club BBQ had the lot stolen last week. A snag or two and maybe a beer at the past players on the scenic hill will help. See you there.

SOUTH
Unheralded South Adelaide midfielder Adam Gulden will miss the next 6-8 weeks with a knee injury after being ruled out of Saturday’s clash with Norwood at Hickinbotham Oval.
The versatile Gulden hurt his knee against Adelaide last Sunday but managed to play out the match despite suffering discomfort.
‘’He was quite confident of playing this week until we got the scans,’’ South chief executive Neill Sharpe said, confirming Gulden had ruptured the Lateral Collateral Ligament in his right knee.
‘’He was kicking a ball when someone (from Adelaide) came across his leg trying to smother.’’
Gulden’s likely replacement will be former West Adelaide running machine Richard Newell, who has been named on the extended interchange bench.
‘’Richard’s form in the Reserves has been building for the past couple of weeks,’’ Sharpe said of the former Brisbane Lions rookie.
‘’He also provides a bit of flexibility with the roles that he can play.’’
Ex-Glenelg forward Josh Trembath has also been named in the Panthers’ 23-man squad, along with utility Tyson Brown.
South captain Brad Crabb – originally from Kangaroo Island - will play his 150th IGA League match after making his debut in 2007.

NORWOOD
Luckless Norwood has been hit at the selection table by injury again, this time with Matthew Panos to miss Saturday’s crucial contest against South at Hickinbotham Oval.
The Jack Oatey Medallist couldn’t be considered due to a broken wrist which should at least sideline him for the next 2-3 weeks.
On the flip side, Norwood coach Ben Warren has had his stocks boosted by the return of classy goalsneak Josh Donohue and key defender Pat Levicki, who have both recovered from calf ailments.
Triple premiership midfielder Tim Webber has overcome a hamstring strain to be named in the 23-man squad with two to be trimmed before the bounce.

Crabby has been such a loyal player especially when you consider we were terrible for quite a few years there & become a great player and fantastic Captain, really hope the boys get the win for him this weekend.
If we win this will Geoff Baynes & Ben Warren be tempted to return to the Panthers???

Yeah I think South just wins .. If current form prevails then they'll win 40+, if Norwood show some kind of response then it should be closer .. Either way South get the choccies I reckon.
