Is anyone tracking this years compared to last years?
I don't think we have had one wet weather weekend yet, let alone a wet weather game. Been perfect for big pre-winter crowds.

Yes Dutchy I am .... bit tricky with 4 round games from 5 round games.... I have them up about 3-4% on same time last year depending on how you measure it. Will post something when we get to about 35-40 games.

What was the crowd number at Noarlunga on Good Friday as I thought we would have more than 8,000 in 4 games

Saw on Facebook that the crowd was 3,900, I thought it was a bigger number. Let's beat this total this weekend, the players are stepping up so now it time for the supporters to do the same,

My average was based on the link saintal posted, so figures must have been changed after the times I acquired them.

The West & Crows game had hardly any away support which hurts the crowd numbers.
Having said that totally agree it's time the Panthers supporters come out of the woodwork and get on down to Noarlunga.
Go the YE-OH's

This week will be interesting to see what crowd arrives at Hickinbotham.
Norwood have a decent travelling supporter base and South are on fire.
You would hope at least 2,000 Deserves more.

I'd be interested in the crowd numbers of the games that start earlier due to TV coverage, during the past 2&1/2 years .

According to media reports we had 1403 at Alberton and 1502 at Noarlunga today.
After adding that I would say crowds this year are now line ball with last season
2016 after 1st 28 games - 74,256 / 28 games = 2652 per game
2015 after 1st 27 games - 71,017 / 27 games = 2630 per game
Can't see the North v Crows game tomorrow lifting that average.
Whilst some clubs have an increase in home crowds over last years final figure
The "big 4" for home crowds are already under last years final average
Port (-28.7%), Sturt (-5.4%), Glenelg (-4.6%) and Norwood (-1.8%)
and usually crowd numbers drop as a season progresses.
That said most clubs have only had 2-3 home games so that may change.

Hey Phil (or Spelly)
I know you've provided the figures numerous times before, but if possible are you able to provide the average crowds since 2000? Given also the averages may drop as winter kicks in and teams drop out of finals contention. Cheers
