CENTRAL
Central District captain Trent Goodrem has been forced out of Saturday’s match with Norwood due to a groin strain.
Goodrem will miss the clash against the Redlegs at My Money House Oval from 12.10pm but will likely return for the club’s next game against Glenelg in Round 8.
‘’We didn’t think it was worth risking Trent as we have the Bye the following week,’’ Central Chief Executive Kris Grant said.
‘’It is a bit of a shame he won’t play as this is our annual Novita Home Game and Trent is our Novita Ambassador but I’m sure we will get him involved on the day though.’’
Key utility Tom Collier has been recalled to the IGA League team after a short stint in the Reserves while Caleb Edmead and Jacob Templeton have been named on the extended interchange bench.
Both Edmead and Templeton have been troubled by hamstring ailments, the latter poised to play his 50th IGA League match.

Chippendale has slowly built match fitness after undergoing off-season surgery while Steven Baldasso and Harry Cross have also been included in the Redlegs’ 23-man squad.
Key defender Mac Bower (20, 189cm and 85kg) could make his IGA League debut after starting his junior career with Norwood Payneham Union Football Club.

Close one this. Doggies haven't been far off and Norwood getting a couple of players back will make them more competitive.
Centrals just about by 5-10 points

Tough game to pick, this one. I'll go Dogs based on home ground.

Any Dogs fans know why Collier spent time in the ressies?

The Redlegs will need about 15 goals to win this.
Not sure where they will come from.

Injury I thought? Be amazed if it was through form.

Yes Centrals for me. Pressure building for positions and Edmead and Collier are good ins, with Templeton showing a bit more than promise so far.

Some good ins for Norwood and a gang of midfielders that look more dangerous than the Doggies. The answers will lie in Centrals' ability to take advantage of the ponderously slow forward attacks Nwd sets up from defence, and will also lie in the extent to which Nwd kicks 15m sideways to a contest instead of 45m forwards to a contest.
Nwd will have lots more possessions (particularly by hand) but probably won't translate that onto the scoreboard.

Head says Centrals by 4 goals.

But, bugger it, heart says Nwd by 15 points, holding off a late charge by the Dogs.

Yeah, Collier eased through the ressies due to a groin injury.

Things are in the balance now no.37 for the Legs is an out. Otherwise I would've been more confident of a Dogs victory.

$1.85 CD v $1.95 NW on Crownbet

Oddly, the 40+ market is CD $6.50 to NW $7.50 .. Not much difference in value for an 80 point swing lol.

FWIW I think Centrals are good today - Obviously hope I'm wrong though.

We played ok (intensity was very good as was the tackling), Norwood was putrid.
