Woodville-West Torrens has been dealt a major blow with star forward Michael Wundke ruled out of Sunday’s clash with Adelaide due to a groin injury.
The triple Ken Farmer Medallist failed to pass a fitness test after hurting himself during the second term of the Eagles’ Round 2 loss to South at Hickinbotham Oval.
As a result, Tom Whittlesea looms as his direct replacement for the match against the unbeaten Crows at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval.
Whittlesea has been joined in the 23-man squad by possible debutants Jack Gaffney and Rhys Woods, who were cut from the final squad last weekend.
Midfielder Angus Poole and former Power ruckman Jarrad Redden will play their 50th IGA League match.

For the second week in succession, the SANFL Crows look set to play with as many as 20 AFGL-listed players, leaving only captain Luke Carey as the sole development player.
Fellow development players Matthew Spencely and Brock Castree have been included on the five-man interchange bench which must be trimmed by two before the start of the match.
Heath Younie’s side will look to win their third consecutive match and maintain their place at the top of the SANFL IGA League ladder.

I would call it a great opportunity to engage with local community groups & especially local junior footballers.

What SANFL club would ever want to do that?

Yes we do spend a lot of time connecting with Kids, but hey who wants the next generation knowing what the SANFL is?

And whether these kids in time not only know about the SANFL but take some sort of ownership of it will be the acid test. If in 10 to 15 years (if the league is still worth attending, that is) those kids translate into keen Eagles fans prepared to turn up week in and week out, buy memberships and merchandise, and generally promote their club, then fantastic.

But I'm not confident nor convinced. In a pro-Crows and Power footy-media climate that the Eagles (or any other SANFL club) will reap these benefits, because kids are likely to be drawn to the sexier and brighter lights of the AFL - even if mum and dad barrack for the Eagles, it's fighting uphill against the peer group power of the schoolyard and school friends, who are likely to have AFL allegiances.

That said, good luck to the Eagles for milking the Crows for as much as they can on match day, better 5,000 people in attendance than not. After all, the Crows are milking the league for their benefit as long as they're infecting it with their artificial, plastic, spray-on presence.

Crows absolutely stank for most of the first half. Skill error after skill error. Certainly better in the second half but 43 points was flattering, with a few goals coming in the last ten minutes. As suggested above, the Eagles over used the ball badly, constantly over handballing and allowing the Crows to turn the ball over. Not at all surprised by those free kick stats; it certainly seemed like they got plenty.
