We have a voice ... apparently!

Found this pretty offensive to be honest ... weren't interested in my voice when I was a member.
Still, it represents another chance to make our point again I suppose (sigh) ...

Seems like another waste of time from the GFC

Chiggy made it quite clear a couple of years ago he doesn't care what the members think.

Only cares about what his mates club think.

that's comedy gold!!!

When people do voice their opinions often. Chiggy stops the meeting and goes down to the bar to have a drink

I've had a look at the questions.....it doesn't give much space to voice the Anti AFL invasion. Its more about improving the Match Day experience. They ask for an email address to presumably send you advertising for 2016 membership......

Yep thats what I thought too .. More about grabbing contact details for a membership drive than listening to any AFL concerns.

Probably closer to the truth. Getting peoples details to hopefully sign them up as members next year.

GFC have a history of not listening to what members think and they certainly don't want to hear that crowds are down due to the AFL reserves teams in the comp especially Chiggy was bragging how crowds would be greater with all the power & crows fans flocking to the SANFL games

Being a former member I received several emails this year regarding membership. Towards the end of the season the club was pimping 3-game memberships. Before the final game the club was flogging ONE MATCH memberships, complete with full membership pack.

Regarding the match day experience, back when I was a member I sent two or three emails regarding issues at home matches. Not one was acknowledged, let alone replied to.

(edit) what a shame I don't prostitute myself to facebook; now I won't be able to do the nonmembers survey

Maybe reply to the emails saying you'll renew your membership when the Crows & Power ate no longer part of the SANFL

I replied and let them know my disgust via the "other" free form sections, unlikely to make any difference but got to take these opportunities

Know a few old bay members that have told me they will never walk into the club again.

From what I heard what happened I can't really blame them.

They never listened to members from the start so I have no idea what this survey is going to change ....

Since you did the hard work for me I thought I'd better take a look

Q5:

If you have been a Glenelg Football Club Member in the past, but are no longer signed up, what are your main reasons for not re-joining?
    Cannot attend games
    Time poor
    Prefer to attend AFL games
Do not see value in the membership
    Cost
    Moved interstate
    Team results
    Other (please specify)

The club didn't even list "because the president voted yes to let the Crows in without regard for member concerns, then voted yes to let the Power in under even less favourable conditions". Talk about sticking the head in the sand...

This mob are seriously clueless.

When I WAS a member my opinion was not sought. I felt very unvalued. I ceased to be a member.

Now that I am NOT a member my opinion is being sought, apparently I now have a "voice".

An organisation that values the opinions of those who are not members more than it does those who are members. There really is no hope.

I bet most Bay fans would go if they made a Grand Final.
