WEST
West Adelaide has boosted its midfield with the return of captain Chris Schmidt for Saturday’s clash with Norwood at City Mazda Stadium.
Schmidt, who was a late withdrawal against South last Saturday, has been joined in the Bloods’ 23-man squad by former Richmond on-baller Brad Helbig and Reserves Magarey Medallist Nick Homburg.
A former Crow, Schmidt will play his 100th SANFL match for the Bloods against the Redlegs.
Running defender Riley Bonner, who made his League debut last round against the Panthers, is the only certain exclusion at this stage.
Magarey Medallist James Ezard will play his last game for the club in the Reserves after announcing he will retire due to a persistent shoulder injury.

Who starts favourite in this game? And what odds you think they will go up?

I reckon we might start favourites, but only by a very slim margin .. If you can get $2+ for Westies I'd be having a go.

Norwood's strongest looking team for a while.
Norwood will win comfortably.

Nothing on Sportsbet.

Norwood 1-39 in a low scoring affair for mine

We would need to improve a lot going on last weeks loss to South, can't see that happening so Norwood by 1 - 39!

Flip of a coin this one. A month ago I'd have said West by a hatful but they seem to have fallen off a bit.
I'd expect a really close one, going either way by less than a kick. So I'm going for a draw

Well Centurion was on the money...and West at $2.50 was always good value. That was tough to watch after the 10 minute mark of the first term. One way traffic at Richmond for most of the day. Crowd @2500 and reasonable numbers of Nwd supporters who saw nothing which says we can turn it around against the Hybrids next week.

West far too good for a very disappointing Norwood who's game fell apart under pressure. Schmidt a stand out in his 100th.
Baulderstone looked to be in alot of trouble after the match and could hardly walk.

Yes didn't expect that result thought the way Norwood started the first quarter it was going to be another big loss. Hopefully we can defeat Power reserves next Sunday to hold onto 3rd spot.

A big improvement, couldn't believe the turnaround from last Sundays game.

Need to be switched on from the start against Port this week.
