More Magpie players than their supporters at Parade?

There was a worrying lack of magpie supporters at the Parade today,
no wonder they crumbled in the second half without any followers.
I stopped counting the crowd wearing black and white colours at about 40.
That is less than their league and reserves player numbers combined!
What can their club and the SANFL do to get some interest back in the Magpies?
Maybe just too cold for them.
.

Very few people go and watch their club's reserves play. Most Port supporters I know (25-35yo) wouldn't know/care when and where their reserves are playing let alone attend in the middle of winter.

They can't, just get rid of them and the other side that doesn't belong in the SANFL!!

Must admit at being surprised at the lack of Power's reserves support, I expected crowds to drop but I must admit I underestimated the true original PAFC fans who have dropped off, don't blame them, I'd do the same. I thought the Power might be able to convince more with their lies and deceit but full credit to the true Port fans.
A few officials of other clubs have been amazed how its like a morgue at Alberton when Port score.
Imagine if they hadn't been top 5 virtually continuously for the 2 seasons they'd been in.

I don't see too much promotion of local footy from either of the 2 AFL sides other than small takes on their websites. Do they advertise coming matches at AFL games.

Game on tv, shocking weather would have kept a few away but i agree there werent many port supporters there at all. Loved the support from the legs fans in the last half and after the game.

I've been to both Crows games this season and, I reckon, there were more Adelaide supporters there on the weekend than first time around (one was even wearing a black armband). Obviously, due to the circumstances.

I think it was more a case of Norwoods ball use after half time than lack or otherwise of Port supporters.

Anyway, why did you stop counting at about 40, was that to make the old crowd / player comparison more favorable for your posting purposes?

Whilst the Port crowd was small I'd have to eco Booneys question as to why you stopped counting at 40? You normally stop when the number is getting large, all this proves is that you haven't provided an accurate amount for your arguement.

He drives a black mini with a white roof. His Mum and Dad used to sit with him at every Port game, I think they have both passed on.

He never, ever misses a Port game.

Is he the bloke who always had 2 x B&W Flags?
He used to sit in the same spot @ Footy Park, South West Corner, for years.

Yep, that's him. He sits in front of the time clock at Alberton.
