Okay so the Eagles are top of the ladder. In Everyones opinion do you believe they are the best side in the comp? What makes them a good side? How can they improve?

7 Players have scored 20 + goals in the SANFL so far this season
Eagles and West Adelaide have 2 each

27 McGregor
26 Alleway
24 Eddy
22 Fielke
22 Green
20 Ainger
20 Retzlaff

Looks to be a good effort by Lachlan McGregor , a small forward, to head the list

Yes absolutely a good effort. However when it comes to the big games in the finals give me a tall forward over 6 foot 3 any day of the week. Big guys dont get any shorter as the game progresses. I wouldn't be surprised at all if clubs decide to play a really negative backmen on Mcgregor. Dont look for touches just purely be a pain.

Also Goldsworthy should be one opposition players look to target. He's a quality player. Probably more damaging than any other Eagles player, that left foot is delicious

I'm just as shocked as you Human Torpedo. Probably needs to get a little more of the footy if i am being picky. If he does that, he wont be at the Eagles next year, he will be on an AFL list.

Coach has a lot to do with it, I heard a very impressive interview earlier in the year about how Godden reluctantly changed team tactics to include the press like all other teams.

I'm a massive fan of the press provided you have smart enough players to implement it which so far they are showing they have.

Has to learn how to deal with a defensive forward, North kept him to 1 touch the first time he had it employed to him.. Think his AFL dream may have passed but would love to see him get picked up, it would have been after his 2012 season if ever..

Goldy, Thurlow, Boyd and Thompson out will be very tough to cover against a solid talented Westies side.
Should be an excellent SANFL game from two sides sure to play finals later this season.
Unfortunately Eagles are due for a loss and this one might be the one we had to have, so it's West by 15 points.

In light of the awful set of circumstances that ultimately led to South v Adelaide being rescheduled, this will now be the Channel 7 televised match instead.

Probably the two best sides in the league right now and you'd expect a cracking game as long as they don't cancel each other out. Eagles with a few missing might be enough to give Westies a slight advantage.
Bloods by 15-20 points
