The Bloods will be disappointed they dropped the game to the Double Blues last week while the Dogs showed they still have some work to do, being outclassed by the impressive Eagles outfit...

This will be an interesting contest, that could go either way...

Sunday, May 3rd @ City Mazda Stadium, Richmond

Reserves @ 10:25am

League @ 1:10pm

Broadcast - Channel 7 from 1:00pm

Hard one to call. Both sides have been OK without really doing anything above expectation. Perhaps Westies a tad more competitive so far and playing at home. I think a wet game would favour Bloods with Schmidt, Porps, Tucky, Jimmy E etc. good at contested ball in tight. They beat Sturt in that part of the game, but should have made more of opportunities and been 4 goals up at last break.

Westies by 3 goals to get us back on track.

Tuck got a 1 game suspension didnt he? The Dogs have struggled at Richmond in recent years though and would expect them to continue the trend.

Seems we have gone for a bit more height in the forward line, but unfortunately still no Retzlaff nor Goody.

After last weeks game against the Eagles, I still cant see us being able to kick a big enough score. Good to see 17 year old Milera kick his first goal against the Eagles, ending up with 2. Composed with some skill, he is still working out the game plan but aren't we all. We have had some awful performances of late out at Richmond, but this week Im going with heart because I have NFI how the new ins will perform and it seems as though Westies have some key outs. Dogs by 10pts.

nice fine day, quick ball movement, unfortunately We don't have a big forward at the moment. West by 5 goals.

I'd guess it's the most inexperienced and the "least talented side on paper" we've ever fielded.

For years you guys just churned out quality and experienced players. Guess it has to eventually come to an end.

Went to this game. My 1st Centrals game in 2 years and took our 10month old to his 1st. (Sorry just sharing a happy moment).
Has the standard dropped or am I being a bit harsh? Poor decision making and kicking to the opposition was very consistent for both sides and do all the sides now push all their forwards up when the ball is down the other end like the AFL?

Yes all 10 SANFL sides play a press.

Think South were the last team to adopt it when Brad Gotch became coach.

That's a shame.

Perhaps other than 1959 to 1965 from an experience perspective. Not sure about "least talented" versus those years hence the " I'd guess" in the statement.
I don't really doubt it, why do you think it's incorrect?

p.s 42, so my earliest football memories start from about 1978.
