Rnd 5 - Norwood v Glenelg @ Coopers (Fri N 1/5)

The Redlegs flexed their muscle last Friday night against the Magpies while the Tigers again couldn't play four quarters (even though the game only went for 3 & 1/2 !!!) and managed to salvage a draw against the Crwos Reserves...

Norwood should win this one, comfortably, but stranger things have happened...

Friday Night, May 2nd @ Coopers Stadium, Norwood

Reserves @ 4:55pm

League @ 7:40pm

When was the last time the Bays won at Norwood. Back in the old big four days they couldn't win on the Parade and we could never win at the Bay.

regards,

REB

When Glenelg is up and about like they were in 2010,2011 the Leagues attendances flourished!
Plus that was Norwood's first game at home for the year having played at Adelaide Oval and AAMI in rounds 1 & 2.

I would still guess 5500 - 6000 at the Parade Friday night.

Glenelg are an opportunistic side that don't cope well against structured opposition. Norwood's pressure and ground means there won't be much room for Nason, Milera, Hender, Snook etc. and I think the bays will feel the squeeze.

Norwood to win easily, Bays to score less than 10 goals.

All Norwood need to do is cut the supply to Alleway. Norwood way too good for the Tigers. Legs by a big margin

Agreed.
After the Eagles debacle, anything less than a 7 goal win at home is thoroughly unacceptable.
Luv,
Sabre.

Team Annoucement - Round 5

Norwood V Glenelg - Friday May 1st at Coopers Stadium

Three changes have been made to the side that drew with Adelaide in bizarre circumstances last Friday night at Gliderol Stadium. Players Button and Agnew who were late withdrawals last week come back into the side along with exciting 16 year old Jonty Scharenberg who will be making his league debut. Jonty is a member of the AFL AIS program, he has shown outstanding form in the last few weeks in the reserves and was amongst the best players for the AIS team that played in New Zealand last weekend.
We hope to see you on Friday at Coopers Stadium at Norwood then back at Gliderol Stadium for presentations - GO BAYS!

A-League final on at same time, might drag the figure down a little

What odds would you get for Adelaide United to score more goals than Glenelg.

Will probably be a pretty ugly result for us but will be there regardless. I just hope at least for a better effort than the absolutely embarrassing display I had to sit through at Norwood last year.

Looks like as good a night as you'll get this time of year, so crowd about 4000 to 4500 I'd say. For some reason there'll be a decent crowd at AO to watch Adelaide United do their usual finals choke, so that may drag it down a little on what it otherwise would have been. :p

Glenelg have been better this year Matt. Don't think they will be good enough against the legs but from what I've seen of them they just need to play out 4 qtrs. Maybe some fitness issues to address?
