Evan Arnold has been an excellent CEO of SAFC for the past 2 years has announced he is leaving the club but no mention of why or where he's going. All i know is that he will be missed by all at South Adelaide and we wish him well for whatever his future holds. A loss not only to our club but for the SANFL.

A real shame.
Have been impressed with the decisions made during his reign. During the AFL Reserves debate last season he was very approachable and took time to address concerns raised.

South Adelaide chief executive Evan Arnold will leave his position this month
AMELIA BROADSTOCK SEPTEMBER 29, 2014 1:03PM SHARE
The Noarlunga-based club’s board held a meeting about its future and chairman Andrew Luckhurst-Smith said the decision was made as part of a “new management structure for 2015”.
“(This) included Evan’s resignation,” Mr Luckhurst-Smith said.
“The recommendation focused on the need to ensure continued investment and resources by the club in football operations deemed critical to maintaining the on-field progress achieved at senior and junior level in 2014.”
Mr Arnold took over the position from Ben Kavanagh in 2012.
His departure comes on the back of the Panthers’ most successful season on field since 1991.
“At a time of many changes and challenges to our game in this state, Evan has displayed great competence and professionalism,” Mr Luckhurst-Smith said.
“He remains very encouraging of the direction the club is taking and is confident that the resurgence of the senior team and the improvement of the junior teams in 2014 can be continued.”
Mr Arnold’s last day at the club will be on October 10.
The club will announce its new chief executive in the coming weeks..

The old ... he did a good job but we decided to sack him ... routine.
I don't know him but always feel for someone who loses their job.

Was it a resignation or a resignation will look better on your CV?

It seems he recommended his own resignation...
South Adelaide will undertake a management restructure, resulting in the resignation of chief executive Evan Arnold.
Arnold, who has been in charge at Noarlunga for the past two seasons, will vacate his post on October 10 as the Panthers implement their changes on November 1.
‘’Recently, Evan presented to the Board of Directors of the South Adelaide Football Club a recommendation for a new management structure for 2015 which included his resignation from the position of Chief Executive Officer,’’ a statement on the club’s website said.
‘’Importantly, the recommendation focused on the need to ensure continued investment and resources in football operations deemed critical to maintaining the excellent on-field progress achieved at senior and junior level by the club in 2014. This recommendation was accepted by the Board of Directors.’’
South chairman Andrew Luckhurst-Smith paid tribute to Arnold’s dedication.
‘’I would like to thank Evan Arnold for his commitment to the club over the last two seasons,’’ Luckhurst-Smith said.
‘’At a time of many changes and challenges to our game in this state, Evan has displayed great competence and professionalism.’’

Why would he recommend a re-structure that included his own demise and with apparently no job to go to, the statement provides more questions than answers.

Didn't read Ronnie's 'how to get ahead in life' memo
quite closely enough.
