Congratulations to other award winners, as follows:

From SANFL Media Release:

SANFL CONGRATULATES AWARD WINNERS
The SANFL would like to congratulate this year’s winners of the Reserves Magarey Medal,
McCallum Tomkins Medal and the Stanley H. Lewis Trophy.

North Adelaide rover Luke Teasdale has won the 2014 Reserves Magarey Medal, polling 21 votes.

North Adelaide midfielder Jonathon Hayes has claimed the 2014 McCallum Tomkins Medal as the
best-and-fairest Under-18 player, tallying 19 votes.

For the first time since it was introduced in 1962, the Stanley H. Lewis Trophy has been shared by
North Adelaide and Woodville-West Torrens, both clubs earning 2350 points across the 2014 season.

The Stanley H. Lewis Trophy is awarded to the best performed club across all three grades of the
SANFL competition - League, Reserves and Under-18.

Of course, Michael Wundke was the winner of the Ken Farmer Medal, which is his 3rd award...

South's Brett Eddy pretty much for the whole season but was held goal-less by Jack Stephens from Sturt last weekend...

At Woodville, Wundke slotted 8 majors to pip Eddy at the post...

The Powerade Star Search winner is yet to be announced...

Would there have been a clear winner if only Pure Games were accounted for?

Just checked with the site sponsors on when they'll release their market, and they've said "At this stage we wont be running one" :(

I had north winning the shl as they had a draw and thus one less loss across the grades as the Eagles. But it appears you get 0 puts for a draw as you do for a loss.

I think someone at the SANFL has stuffed up if North has been given no points for a draw. I have just looked at the Lewis trophy for other years and points for a draw were always split between the two clubs.
In 2011 Norwood won with 2725 points having had 14 league wins, 13 reserves wins and 13 under 18s wins and 1 draw.
I think that it is an insignificant trophy but clearly someone at the league doesn't or can't follow the rules.

Cross from South would be a chance. Proven vote getter and has been in the club's best players almost on a weekly basis. Has kicked more goals this season which will help also, but perhaps hasn't had enough games in which he'll grab 2 or 3 votes. I think he'll win the Knuckey Cup though. Macleod certainly not without a chance.

Yes. Only one team out of the 8 failed to beat either Crows or Port during the year and it wasn't North.

For the record there were two draws in the Reserves and neither of them show up in that table.

Port and Norwood had the same points in 1963 (248); Port got the trophy because Port had more wins at League level. So, there must have been another change somewhere there too.

After round 17 North had 2225 points this year in the Stanley H Lewis trophy, so someone at the league can't add 2225 and 150. Most unprofessional.

Surely there will be a correction tomorrow,

Panos should get the most votes for Norwood and would be a chance to win it.

Travis Schiller from Central District has won the Pwerade Star Search award...

That is the 4th winner in a row from the Dogs now, with Travis' older brother Jarrod, Paul Marschall, Josh Glenn and now the younger Travis Schiller...

Well done to Travis on a great debut League season...

From the SANFL site...

Hi Phil,

In all years up to this one a draw has been given half points.

If you go to the 2011 and 2012 Grand Final Budgets on pages 70 and 71 respectively you can see that teams who had draws got points.

You can access the footy budgets via the SANFL website.

I trust that you can get the SANFL to correct their mistake.
