Sturt
Sturt is set to blood clever small forward Josh Hone against Central at Envestra Park on Sunday.
Hone, a member of the victorious McDonald’s SA Under-18 team, has been added to the extended interchange bench.
‘’He’s impressed us with his ability to mark over his head for someone of his size,’’ Sturt football manager Paul Sandercock said of Hone, 172cm and 74kg.
‘’We are looking for someone to play that front and square role up forward. We think that has been lacking in our game and he is coming off the back of a good Under-18 championships and kicking four goals in the reserves last week.’’
SA Under-18 team-mate Dean Gore returns for his first league match since the AFL Under-18 National Championships while key defender Fraser Evans also returns to the 22-man squad.
Veteran defender James McLeay and midfielder Levi Krause have been squeezed out of the side which lost to West Adelaide last round.

Central
Central has boosted its defensive stocks with the inclusion of David Haydon and Matthew White for its must-win match against Sturt at Envestra Park on Sunday.
Small defender Haydon and key backman White have been added to the Bulldogs’ extended interchange which must be trimmed by two before the bounce.
The Dogs are taking on a far more settled look as they make a determined bid to play in September this season.

Is he the West supporter who racially abused Richard Tambling?

Somehow I feel you are going to go home disappointed.
Sturt 2 - 3 goals.

Despite the wonderful conditions it was a scrappy game that either team could have won but glad we ended up in front...

Well done to Centrals, came out of the right side of the ledger despite having an undermanned side. Sturt has some glaring problems up forward, I've no idea what's wrong with Coad but he's playing the worst he has for many years. We missed Hanson today and without him we've got few small options up forward. Paddy Wilson, Tambling, Kurtze, Kirkwood our obvious best, thought Beard, Stephens and Page were good also.
Umpiring was at its usual standard again today. The glaring **** up would be a 25m penalty awarded to Centrals when 45m out for a drinks runner running across the mark resulting in a goal from 20m out. That it was the Centrals drinks runner that did it didn't seem to matter. I won't go into the amount of soft high frees Centrals got.
In the end Sturt are way off the pace to contend finals.

What's the rundown on the dying minutes?
I kept checking the scores and it felt like there was no change for 10 minutes.

A lot of ball ups, turning over the ball from end to end and trapped in Sturt's F50 for a good period.

I saw that figure and it seemed a bit excessive.
Regular Unley-goers should be a better judge than me though.

Just watched the highlights on the Recovery Session, it seems we have a new player in Scotty Hoskin. Hopefully he plays as well as Justin Hoskin has been.

why has nothing been made of the incident where centrals water girl walked across the centrals mark resulting in a 25m penalty an sure goal?
Granted the first shot wasn't far out, but the bloke would have had to run through some slop!
See the 28:00min mark of the recovery session!!
