Round 12 - Norwood v Central @ The Parade (Fri N 27/6)

The first game in week 1 of the split round, with just 2 this weekend and then the remaining 3 clashes the following weekend...
It's been a while since this these two clubs have clashed at Coopers on a Friday night so will be interesting to see how the crowd behave...
This should be a really cracking contest with both teams finding a little bit of form, of late...
Game is on 1197am RPH Adelaide from 7:30pm...
Reserves @ 4:55pm
League @ 7:40pm

Should be ripper of a match. The conditions will make this a tough bruising affair. More rain on Friday. Half a dozen goals will probably win this.
Not sure about Friday night games in the middle of winter. At least there is Stout on tap on Coopers Hill !

How old were these old days you speak of?
We even had whacky things called "Byes" in the old days. In 2012 there were 2 rounds where 3 teams had a bye and 2 rounds when 5 teams had a bye. Was that just a fancy term for "split round" ?

I thought the SANFL had banned Norwood v Centrals night games @Norwood?
Are the Norwood fans less feral now? Or are the ferals only fair weather supporters?
I don't mind going to a night game in winter, but it does feel strange trying to clap with gloves on...

It's alright. Both sides are going to warm up at the same end before the start of the match, which will create enough heat for everyone.

The club is taking precaution with Allans hamstring, being the only named out at the moment. Someone like Rooke or Barge will need to step up and play a blinder to cover the void left by Allan. Going to be a tough four quarter slog, we must start well and maintain our efficiency going forward. Webber is a massive in for this type of match (always brutal against Centrals).

If I see a flare go up tonight I'll just assume Centrals are celebrating their return to night games at the Parade, and won't bother calling the coast guard or police.
