Shame about the twos but a solid win in the league. Norwood never really looked in the hunt right from the onset, particularly after giving up two goals inside the first three mins of the game. Good to see Rolfey with a goal with his first kick back in the senior team. Heard he got reported though? Usual suspects did the job for South - Cross, Liddle and Gotch all good around the clearances. Very impressed with Macleod's game also which included some brilliant goals. Thought Eddy did well given the dewy conditions for two majors.

Two Norwood players were reported (Webber was one, didn't catch the other) for contests both involving Haines. Sadly looks like Chippendale went down with what appeared to be a serious lower leg injury with barely a couple mins left in the match. McGuinness was a general in defence but the Legs really struggled with direction once they crossed the centre. Quite a few basic turnovers when looking to switch that really killed them over the night.

Crowd looked in the 2,500 region

yes a great win in tough slippery conditions.
All played very well, esp Mcleod, Liddle, Gotch and Haines.
really proud of the way the boys are going about it atm.
The Coach really has transformed the playing group into a very solid unit. Unlike our sides of the past this one never gives up on a contest, tackles chases and harasses for 100 minutes. The coach has transformed players like Veide, Brooksby, Crabb, McDonald, Murphy etc from pladders into solid consistent contributors.
Injuries have certainly left us short in a few areas, but everyone who is getting a chance is relishing it, keen to be part of something special.
Just trying really hard to keep a lid on things t the moment , as success is something that has been in short supply down at Noarlunga for along time.
Port next week, we'll know where we stand after that one.

Good win tonight by the boys in slippery conditions..

After game presentations had Cross best, Gotch second and Liddle third with special mention to Mcleod and Haines who was impressive in first game for the year.

Great to be back on winners list.

Annoyed I couldn't get to the game as it sounds like it would have been enjoyable to watch. Wasn't overly optimistic during the week, so very happy with the result. Appears as though depth at the club is the best its been for a long time.

Great to chalk up another win at home, where we've been pitiful for too long. Not having to rely on Eddy kicking 6 is a good sign, while it's good to see Rolfey and young Haines in the goal-kickers.

Judging by the stats the ruck battle appeared to be a good one, with Brooksby not enjoying his usual dominance.

Crowd figure?

The ladder is beginning to take shape.
With 6 wins & 5th Place North on 3 wins, with only 11 games to go that suggests South need 6 wins from 11 games to probably get the 'double chance'.
The Bays & Cows can't make the 5 IMHO & it looks doubtful for Norwood too.

The crucial matches for South will be v Sturt & v (2 x 4 pt games) & v WWT @ Woodville (1 x 4 pt game)

Gotch appears to have recruited well & they certainly have confidence.
Huge game this week v Port Reserves - hard to win down there.

It appears 'jumping on board' this year is paying off - at the moment at least :D

Have a sneaky suspicion Norwood's plummet is only going to get worse as the season progresses.

Didn't see the game but apparently South far too good, well done .. Good to see such loyal supporters being rewarded (would have preferred it wasn't at our expense of course).

No excuses for that "display".
Comprehensive defeat at the hands of the Panthers.
Couldn't find a target 30 metres away.
From our perspective a few injuries during the game didn't help but wouldn't of changed the result.
Win 8 of our next games, make the Finals, Premiers from there.

Wouldn't change the result either BUT SHE can't umpire.

South were far too good, the sides are poles apart ATM, one of the worst performances by a Norwood side in many years, skills and structure were woeful. Sad to say but this current Norwood side wont play finals.
Wasnt a great Norwood crowd last night down at Noarlunga, close on a 4 hour round trip for me to freeze my arse off and watch us dish up that crap. Long drive home last night

Understand we've lost a lot of good players, but those that are still there should still be able to hit targets .. Our footskills have been appalling this season. There's a number of players I'd be telling they have the remainder of the season to prove they're up to this level, or they're out the door.

Will lose Our best player at the end of this season too, those responsible for recruiting will be busy boys between now and Christmas, because we need a lot.

Exactly, the skills are apalling. The number of players that cant hit a target 30m away is staggering. Will be a decent turn over at seasons end id imagine, need to get some game time into the kids and recruit heavily at seasons end

Sheesh. I'd be more worried about some of your blokes who can't hit a target 20 metres away.

Thought the umpiring was generally good. Only noticed them every time this absolutely feral Norwood old bag sitting near me opened her bloody trap towards the young lass with the typical sexist filth you'd only associate with the gutter rats of society. Thought we were above this sh#t? Little wonder the SANFL struggles for umpires.

Let's worry about this year first, unless you have completely given up.

Read what I wrote, umpiring had no impact on the decision, we were crap and yes I am more worried about our blokes not hitting targets 20 metres away.

Fact: winners always think the umpiring are good.
Fact: she copped some abuse from "feral" Norwood "members/supporters".
Fact: she copped just as much abuse from "feral" South "members/supporters".

Another Fact: you're looking good now but you've done nothing for 50 years, don't get too cocky.

From a results perspective, I have given up on this season, just don't think we're good enough. Hope I'm wrong but can't see it in this instance.

Won't stop me supporting the boys though.

Havnt given up this year just yet but barring a massive form turn around over the next few weeks our season will be over.
Cows, Eagles, West and Sturt are our next 4, anything less than 3 out of 4 wins and season is as good as done

It's just such a shame that the year South come good it's likely that Port will steamroller their way to a flag.
