Terrible game, Sturt deserved it though, we were pathetic.
Some real concerns at the club IMO, our lack of depth is showing, missing 5-6 of our best side. Warren's game plan is apalling, this over possession, chip it around the boundary stuff is crap, the middle of the Parade grass should be in pristine condition such was the lack of action through the middle. Our forward line is a joke, constantly leading towards the boundary and then being forced into kicking miracle goals from out wide.

Went to the game tonight with my norwood mates. Interesting to hear how critical they were of Allan. Sure, he got 40 odd possessions but most seemed to be dinky little kicks that did very little damage to the opposition.

Thought Norwood had some opportunities early but very wasteful in front of goal. Seems like every time I see Newton he has plenty of shots on goal but frequently fails to convert.

Sturt are very very good. Not many household names running about but they all run hard and are enthusiastic. It remains to be seen if they can keep this effort up for the full season but on early form should be right up there

Barring an injury to Kurtze (who we have no replacement for) Sturt will continue to get better as the year progresses. We have many good players in the range of 15 - 30 games who will be better for every additional game they get under their belt. Hansen, Crocker, Calabrese, Stephens, Page... Gore and Penfold also look extremely promising.

So you reckon that a Penfolds gets better with time ... :D

Sturt were ordinary.

Norwood were garbage. Turnovers kill you, and we committed way too many.

Thank goodness for McGuinness.

Not all Benny's fault, losing the majority of last years side hasnt helped.
At full strength we will still give sides a run for the money but a couple of injuries and we will see results like the past two games

Would be real interested to Norwood fans thoughts on Jimmy and his 40 possessions.

Wouldn't be to many times a player gets 40 possies in a side that is easily defeated

Not panic time just yet but one more loss and its getting pretty close

My thoughts are that it's humerous how obsessed people are with him.

Thought he played well tonight, got lots of clearances.

Was 10x better than Bartlett who decided to come alive when the game was over.

Most of Jimmy's possies were what I call junk stats, just little chips and cheap kicks. His efficiency wasnt flash and he had a set shot from 35m that didnt make the distance.
Not panic stations yet but plenty of bad signs, I think with our best side on the park we will be around the mark but need plenty of improvement in plenty of areas

To top off the night Bauldy was reported for a reckless incident, reckon he might cop 1-2 and he is one we cant afford to have on the sidelines

Radio said 4200 odd. Not a bad crowd.

The feed kept going in and out but the rph guys noticed Sturts pressure at the ball and body a lot more. Norwood challenged but we answered and if we kicked straight, would have won by more even if they kicked straight too.

Yes, they had a few out including flip who likes to bag goals against sturt, but to beat the legs under lights at the parade is a great achievement. They'll be top 3 end of year for sure, long season. But great to win and still have 2 more blokes to squeeze in so depth is good. Just need to find kouta some help.

Well played blue boys!

No excuses regarding personnel. Outplayed in the middle and poor when we went forward.
Lots of room for improvement, not panicked just yet but I despise losing.

I'll be the first one to put it out there - the female umpire can't bounce or keep up with the play.

Umpiring isn't a gender thing, it's about the best available.
