Rnd 2 - Port Adelaide v Glenelg @ Alberton Oval (Sun 13/4)

The Port Adelaide Magpies would have been very disappointed in their first performance as the Port Adelaide Power's reserves side and will be keen to put on a good home showing...

Glenelg were disappointing in the second half against Sturt and will be looking for their recruits to come on sooner rather than later. This should also be a good game that could go either way...

Reserves kick off at 11:25am

League start at 2:10pm

Radio Coverage will be on 1197am RPH Adelaide from 2:00pm

The power have a few injuries so there will be a couple missing from this Port side. I would pick Glenelg to get up in a close one.

I can only go on what I saw last week. I find it hard to see us getting within 6 goals. I hope like buggery we play better than last week and cause some problems. We should've won both games there last year but came away with nothing.

Saw most of the Port / Norwood game on TV and obviously the Bays / Sturt game live, so on last week's form, can't see the Bays getting up.

Would hope for a much improved effort from the Bays this week though, as last week didn't present many positives.

To be honest, NFI who's going to win this one.

Must be desperate at the Bay, Jimmy Jones wouldnt of been in the top half dozen rucks in the BL&G league.
His kicking makes John Butcher look like Sam Mitchell

The Fuschia dropped to SANFL, hope Bay fans get there in numbers and heckle him

Strangely optimistic about this one, having said that i thought we would smash Sturt, If we can stick with them early, it should be a good game, give them a head start like we did with Sturt and we will get smashed. Hope we keep at it for four quarters for once, it's been a long time since i've left a game and thought they had a dip the whole time.

Lmao @ The Fuschia.

Impacts the contest hard though. :)

How long until the Tiser article quoting a Po'er player saying something about Butcher 's confidence being low but they believe he 'll be back to make an impact soon?

Spud.

Some real country hacks involved here. Port will miss those players going to the Power. Butcher should improve the goalkicking accuracy.
I think it will be close

Agreed, he was woeful. Copped a fair bit from the Port supporters during the night about his form aswell.
Still cant believe Summerton isnt on a list when you see some of these other spuds on AFL lists. Has he missed the boat?

I wouldn't feel too bad for him. In a couple years he'll be on an AFL footballer's wage but only having to play in the SANFL.
