So the season begins at last.
Glenelg gets a new coach, recruits heavily, backed up by a strong set of juniors.
Trial form has improved each week with a good hit out last night against West.
Probably the hardest team to pick this year, early form will be telling.
Sturt have seemingly slipped under the radar between seasons. Showed some promise last year and will be looking to improve.
Perfect night of 24 predicted, deserves a big crowd to kick off the new season into the unknown.
Bring it on.

Nice to get the opening game of the season. Better get there a few minutes early to avoid getting stuck in the ticket queue.

Footy's back!!!
Wish I could be there to suck in the atmosphere.
No idea who will win, or the margin. Hope the comp isn't too badly affected by the arrival of the Shmoes and flowers.

Season ticket/home match ticket holders won't have to queue up

Big forward line in importance and size for the Bays. At some stage Thorp, Alleway and Kirkby plus Hooper will blow a game open. Could be this week!!
If they get enough midfield ball then that forward line could be the difference.

Tipping Glenelg to be the big improvers this year, and will kick off their season with a 12 goal win

The Glenelg team photo in today's fish wrap is missing one of our recruits. I wonder if he got confused and drove to Prospect???

Allen and Hender are still no chance this week though. The other 2 should play.

Correct, Ty is a few weeks away and Lewie won't be playing seniors considering he hasn't played since his reco last year.

Obviously hoping for a Sturt win but really have no idea... Too many changes (competition wide) from last year to be able to make a prediction I'd stand by.
Best guess - Sturt by 9 points.
