2014 Law Interpretations

Some minor changes to interpretations but nothing ground breaking and it seems like most of it they were paying last year anyway as can be seen by the video the SANFL has with the article

2014 interpretations:
25 & 50 Metre Penalties
25 metres given for minor delay in play
50 metres given for late forceful contact & Abuse or Demonstrative action towards an umpire
Forceful contact below knees
Frees will be awarded for:
Forceful contact below a players knees
Conduct in a manner likely to cause injury with no contact
Marking contests
Frees will be awarded for:
No eyes for the football
Contact made to opponent
In the back
Frees will be awarded for:
Obvious hands in back
Prevents player from contesting the ball
Early leaps
Frees will be awarded for:
Obvious contact to player in front due to unrealistic attempt to mark or spoil
Prevents opponent from contesting the ball
The attempt must be realistic
The player must be able to touch the ball
Shepherding
Players sole object must be to contest the ball
Players who push, bump, block or hold will be penalised.
Tackling
Protect the ball player at all costs
Tackle must be legal and below the shoulders and above the knees.
