South Launceston Bulldogs won the Tasmanian State League premiership
(after announcing they were leaving the Tasmanian State League to go an amateur league level comp)

Their TSL licence was given to a NTFL club South Prospect Hawks FC - Now Prospect State (logo and jumper TBA)

14 South Launceston Players have gone to Prospect State

TSL in their wisdom decided to give spot to Prospect State rather than runner up Burnie Dockers.

Just another day in AFL Tasmania.

Also nice move by Foxtel Cup organisers to schedule the SANFL premiership team to play in a Foxtel Cup game 4 days before the SANFL v VFL state game.

You are probably correct that Norwood would not have sent state quality players anyway. At least not for the 1st round game.

Wouldn't be too shocked if that were planned between all parties. The SANFL would be able to quite safely assume that no Norwood player selected to play for his state was going to be flying to WA anyway.

I don't think the venue has been finalized as yet, just the date has been locked in, for now...

Spot on BP ... Sat Aft May 31st in Melbourne v VFL or so I have been told... venue TBA

For the record there is no game at the MCG that afternoon, Richmond v Essendon "Dream Time" game is on at the ground that night.

Why are East Perth playing in the comp I know they finished second in the WAFL but they are now a fully fledged Eagles Reserve team, it is akin to the Adelaide Cows 2's playing in the comp. It was supposed to be for state league sides not pseduo AFL sides

Dont think that was ever the plan, didnt GWS play in the first one?
Williamstown won the first one for memory and they are aligned with the Bulldogs and in recent years Werribee, Nth Ballarat and the Northern Bullants have competed and they are all AFL aligned sides.
Id imagine if the Ravens or Port ever finish top 2 they would enter the comp

GWS played in the first Foxtel Cup

That was before they were in the AFL though. Somehow I doubt the Cows/Port reserves would want to partake.
