Good appointment by West. Has got plenty to work with just needs to find a key forward!

Good appointment for West, they'll actually have a chance in September/October with Mickan.

Excellent appointment.

It will be difficult to hate West properly now.

In the event that Glenelg does not go top - which I confess is almost a certainty - then I hope Rubbers can win the flag.

I hope that the West Adelaide board can afford him the level of confidence which Metcalf could not.

Good appointment I would have thought, even considering finals record.

Was the Bays poor finals record attributed to Mickans coaching or the players not handling finals pressure?

I guess you will find out.

You will be allright, Collo to the rescue.
Can just see it now, the first 0-0 draw in the SANFL.
Cold wet night at Noarlunga with a howling gale and all the players inside the oppositions 50m zone playing rugby for 120 minutes. The conditions down there will suit his style

Didnt he get them to a GF?
They cant keep blaming coaches, being losing finals for 100 years.
They did get exposed a couple of times on the bigger ground in finals, not sure if that was attributed to his style or the players leg speed though

Would I be right in saying Mickan has one final victory as coach?

No surprise but a good appointment.
Congrats Mark and Westies. A good fit, I believe he is more suited to West than he was at Glenelg.
