should the SANFL program Crows v Power in round 1?
They'll prolly make it Norwood v Adelaide on a Friday night and Glenelg v Port on Sat night so they can say "look at the crowd figures for them already".
They'll prolly hijack ANZAC day in an attempt to boost what crowd might go to watch these 2 teams play each other.
I hope they do play each other in Round 1 in front of 500 people.

Couldn't give a rats tossbag when the Crows or Power Reserves play!!!
1 thing I will say though is South better not lose the Good Friday game to either of these teams.
Also like the idea of playing the Bays every year on Good Friday as we are neighbours and bays supporters usually turn out in good numbers to Noarlunga.
Really build it into a traditional game every season!!!!!

As a Norwood supporter I want the season opener to be Friday night against a traditional AFL club.
Crows and Power would be a good opener for those two teams.

The 2013 Grand Finalists at home against the two imposters on a Friday night at the same time.

Stay away from Anzac day !
Stay away from Good Friday .... create a South / Glenelg tradition there.
Stay away from opening round blockbusters.
Hope Norwood play the Crows and Power when I am working !!!!!!!!!!!!1

My guess will be that the crows and power reserves will play against each other in round 1 on Adelaide oval as a 'curtain raiser' to the showdown

I thought that was a condition of agreeing to the Crows ..... no curtain raisers to the AFL. That may not apply to Crows and Port though and frankly my dear I don't GIVE a dam !

Pretty sure the Showdown wont be round 1 anyway.
Hopefully the SANFL don't have the Crows v Port in Rd 1. If they want to show that the AFL reserves teams are going to boost crowd numbers they need to play the first few rounds against the SANFL clubs before having the Reserves Showdown

As long as Central play South in Round One for the 'Integrity Cup' I am happy!

Crowd numbers will increase in games involving the Crows in the first part of the season.
The SANFL will finally learn how to market and use time slots and put them in the right time slots, so watch the Crows to do a bit of a night tour early on against the likes of Norwood, Glenelg, South, West and Centrals.
Their will also be the novelty factor early on from the Crows fans (the most novelty fans in the league 19th man anyone) and with Tex more than likely to play at some point watch for a Tex vs Norwood match.
BUT
Then winter will strike the Crows AFL side will be sitting 11th, their reserves side will be 7th and only using 5-6 players a week like (Orval, Dowdell, Osborne etc etc). The fans will realise than infact their SANFL side is nothing more than a reserves side and the novelty will wear off.
Then will come the fixtures of South down at Noarlunga in the freezing cold, Centrals out a Elizabeth and the crowds will drop off and we will see sub 1000 crowds.

Agree with that and I don't care just as long as the real SANFL clubs prosper and grow.
