Central v North Elimination Final inc Post Match

I thought I might post some facts about the Central District Football Club league side and Elimination Finals.

Central District has played in 3 League Elimination Finals, 1982 def by Glenelg, 1993 def by Norwood and 1998 def by Port.
So CDFC League side has never won an Elimination Final - Hopefully a first for the club next Sunday.

Of the 3 opponents Central has played in, in previous Elimination Finals , all of them have won their way through to the Grand Final, with Port 1998 Winning the Flag.

Hopefully history can repeat but in all reality I think more recent history will repeat, same as the last 6 weeks (5 games) :(

North with the best record of all sides in Elimination Finals V Central with the Worst Record
North with the worst form coming into the Finals V Centrals with wins from 4 of their last 5 games

records are there to be broken, North are stuffed!!

North to knock out the Dogs again. One player won't change the whole side. But will straighten north up.

Norths Elimination Final record is so good because of the amount of times we've blown double chances.
Can't see me getting the cock head out this year.

Surely you jest? Our best goal return in our last 5 losses was 7 against both the Eagles and Norwood. Based on that will Centrals final score be minus 3 goals?

It's kind of appropriate that the last game on Footy Park for one of these sides will be this Sunday's opponent.
Pity it's not a GF.

Given the two met in the first match at FP?

When you say one of these sides, you really mean it will be North's last appearence at League level at Football Park! Go on you can say it, we cannot possibly win!

I'm not saying that at all, no way.
Depends which Dogs rock up. Jeckyll, or Hyde?

Centrals by 7 goals, their use of the ball appears cleaner and more efficient plus they have a game style that works in finals ( apart from last year with an aging and unfit side ).
Has any team made the finals after losing their last 5 in a row ?
