The Bloods have had a poor month of footy, excluding the win over Glenelg, while the Eagles have had a couple of close victories over the last fortnight. This one will be Match of the Round for mine, with a lot riding on it for both sides.

U18s from 5 pm @ City Mazda Stadium.

It will be West and Eagles battling for 3rd spot, behind Norwood and North IMO. Eagles also play West at Richmond in Round 23. I reckon Eagles need to win both of these to make top 3. Lose this week and it will be very hard.

Saw Westies slaughter us earlier in the season and the only other game I've seen them is the Foxtel Cup game where they were equally impressive. Obviously things haven't been going to plan recently, but at their best I think they would be too good for the Eagles.

Eagles have been excellent at putting pressure on the last two weeks and will need to keep at this level to hopefully put West off their game. It was questionable whether the Eagles had the mettle to cope with teams who got on top of them during a game, but the last two weeks have shown there are leaders who have stepped up when the pressure is on to guide the side to victory.

Parry would be a possible inclusion and Rowntree and Mitchell probable inclusions. Would guess Petrenko will go to the Crows.

This is week 3 of a 4 week stretch of season defining games. Hopefully the Eagles can make it 3/3.

A couple of good ins for the Eagles in Parry and Rowntree. Hard to see West losing two in a row at home though. Should be a four quarter slog, my prediction is Westies by a couple of goals; the Eags are probably due a loss such is their inconsistency. Having said that, a win would mean they're legit double chance contenders.
