Player and team stats updated after last night's match.

Bit of confusion with goal kickers last night.

Champion live scores have: M.Evans 4, C.Evans 1, Thomas 0.
Norwood statisticians have: M.Evans 5, C.Evans 0, Thomas 0.
Advertiser and I have: M.Evans 3, C.Evans 1, Thomas 1.

The leader boards above reflect what I had from last night.

Not quite. North have a superior percentage.

Rare that a team in seventh spot would have a percentage under 40.

What would the Eagles v North score line have to be, roughly, for the home side to win against the Roosters tomorrow and get enough percentage (2.68%) boost to jump into 2nd spot?

Working out percentages is not my strong point !!!

If the Eagles kick E points tomorrow, and North kicks N,

then the Eagles percentage will be (1061+E)/(1960+E+N)
and North's will be (1114+N)/(1961+E+N).

Noting that the denominators are approximately equal, for the Eagles percentage to be greater than North's, then 1061+E > 1114+N
--> E > N+53

i.e. Eagles must score approximately 53 points more than North.

The exact margin required would be found by including the denominators in the above inequality. I leave this as an exercise for the reader. 8)

53 points will be enough to get them over the top North, but it will only get them into third.

They need about a 107-point win to supersede West for second.

Think they'll probably just be happy with a win though!

North never were bottom under McDermott.
Hard to believe but we've actually only won 6 spoons in 120 years!

When was the last time a team lost and went UP in ladder position, like North did this weekend?
